Nov 27, 2014 I r---d the blu ray section at Walmart during the thanksgiving sale. Ang Lee's Hulk, Scarface, The Hobbit, Catching Fire, Gravity, Titanic, Frozen, Sleeping Beauty, The Goonies, The first 4 Harry Potter Movies, The Lego Movie, X-Men First Class. Only thing I regret is that I didn't pick up American Hustle and they had no Studio Ghibli films.
Nov 27, 2014 One of my favorites that I've never actually owned. Purchased for $8 on Amazon (which would've been $21 if I wasn't an Amazon Prime member) + free 2 day shipping. It's not the original Blu-Ray release, but rather a 4K remaster.
Nov 30, 2014 those are some weak pick ups fellas. just wait till my s--- comes @Vahn gonna be mad because I didn't wait for the criterion version of something
Nov 30, 2014 Well, they had it for $24.99 at Best Buy for the Blu-ray set while the DVD set was $15.99. However, they accidentally put them in the wrong spots on the shelves so the Blu-rays were where it said $15.99 (they weren't next to eachother on the shelf so I didn't notice). So when I checked out it came up as $39.99, which was wrong for both sets. So I told them it was supposed to be $15.99 and they asked me to show them real quick to make sure. As I'm showing them I finally notice they're in the wrong spots but I don't say anything because I'd been waiting in line for a while and I wasn't paying $24.99 for it anyway (the price tag itself didn't even specify if it was DVD or Blu-ray, it just said "Back to the Future", because I read the price tag where the Blu-Rays were to make sure it was for the right item. I didn't even know there WAS a DVD set until I was showing them). They proceeded to discount it for me down to $15.99. Considering it's $14.99 on Amazon now I still think I paid a fair price for it.
Nov 30, 2014 I paid like $19 total (no Prime) I was just watching this 2 days ago and was annoyed @ how bad the DVD up scaling was on my player Cheers @Dew
Nov 30, 2014 I don't even own any DVDs anymore besides releases that aren't on Blu-ray yet. Ended up trading all of mine in when I started my Blu-ray collection. Even when upscaled, DVDs pale in comparison. But yeah, BttF set is totally worth it. Watched all three the night I bought it. Possibly my favorite film trilogy of all time. Great transfers as well for all three.
Dec 27, 2014 Pulp Fiction, Scarface, Goodfellas, The Departed. All are Christmas gifts and yes I never watched them...yet. I know it's shameful, but the winter break is an appropriate time to catch up all the classics.
Dec 27, 2014 @Radeem not shameful at all. I wish so badly that I could go back and watch some of my favorite films for the first time. Enjoy! I got a $50 gift card to HMV for Christmas. Ended up getting all this on boxing day. Still have a few bucks leftover too.
