Nov 29, 2014 Don't remember who exactly was interested back on SL, but I know there were a lot of battle heads. The thread kind of died towards the end of the site's run, but hopefully this will go better. URL has been releasing battles from SM4, with the highly anticipated Con vs B Magic joint dropping this Thursday. They've also been releasing s--- from the "warm up" card, including Charron vs Shotgun Suge and Head Ice vs K Shine. Ice has one of the hardest f---ing lines of all time right at the start of his first round ("you can tell how they leg twitch" >>>>>) KOTD just had their Flatline 3 event, which featured the Daylyt vs Pat Stay title match, and an impromptu DNA vs Rone rematch (after Uno couldn't make it to battle Rone due to the snow storm). It was on very short notice, but both killed it - with Rone having arguably performance of the night. Daylyt went for a mix of theatrics/antics and bars against Pat. He claims to never have wanted the chain, so if you take that into consideration he used the stage exactly how he wanted - to put on a show (he was dressed as a slave, had a slave master with him) AND give us great verses (the first round used literally EVERYONE on the KOTD roster's name to tell a very well written story). Pat showed up as usual and killed it. KOTD also has a Facebook "talkback" page where everyone from Organik to actual battlers engage with fans. If you're on Facebook you should probably join, it's not half bad. Daylyt trolls in there 24/7 haha Don't Flop premiered their US league in Atlanta and I heard it went well. I've only seen JJDD vs Eurgh and it was pretty great (best JJDD in a while). ummm…besides that yeah. idk. that's about it. Don't know if I should post bootlegs, so if you want em just go to http://otbva.com/forum/main-stage-f44.html and look for em there. I'm probably forgetting more battle rap related news but whatever oh wait yeah, Ether is going down in like a week or something. The FilmOn event featuring Diz vs Cassidy, Arsonal vs The Saurus, Daylyt vs Serious Jones, and a couple more great match ups.
Nov 30, 2014 Really behind lately, I haven't seen any of the matches you talked about there. But I just watched the Daylyt/Real Deal battle and what a pile of s--- that was. I know some of you like him on here, but I can't stand Daylyt at all. He's just not funny in the slightest to me, in fact I find all that other s--- he does incredibly boring.
Nov 30, 2014 I should be pretty active in this thread but I feel like it's gotten to a "we've seen it all" point in battle rap and that's why the thread died. Too many new leagues, too many rappers battling too often. The KOTD vs URL matches, or however you want to label it, that we thought would be cool to see, have usually ended with the URL rappers not giving a s---. Hopefully Ether is a breathe of fresh air, plenty of potential on that card.
Nov 30, 2014 Daylyts amazing haha, but that was one of the worst battles of the year lol. Watch him vs Clips or Chilla. Or I just started making a Best of Daylyt series for YouTube so you could just watch Part I
Nov 30, 2014 Don't have anything important to mention but I didn't know @Narsh was back. Welcome back!
Nov 30, 2014 Really cant stand Daylyt, literally just skip his verses now. I mean once he started shi--ing on stage, i was like alright im done with this dude. Just rap bro.
Dec 2, 2014 Bizzy bone's one of the last two battlers revealed for ether. What the f---? Hahah http://battlerap.com/news/2014/12/6371-bone-thugs-member-bizzy-bone-battling-ether
Dec 2, 2014 I'll check out your video when I have time @Narsh but I honestly hate him lol Did that Keith Murray and Fredro Star battle ever happen? Just wondering how horrible it was.
Dec 2, 2014 Nah I think the event fell through. There was another stupid one with like bonecrusher that didn't happen So many people desperate for attention
