Jan 21, 2015 Great news, the Elzhi and DOOM features are looking good. Also a perfect chance to relisten to the Cold Vein, haven't done so in a long time.
Jan 21, 2015 ehh the ep wasn't that good, can't remember those songs anymore is there production credits out?
Jan 21, 2015 what is the reason el-p and cannibal ox wont work together anymore? im reading about it now something about vordul got his jaw broken and it was meant for el-p and el-p censoring camu tou's album?
Jan 21, 2015 Here it is in their own words. Vast talks mad s--- about the stuff surrounding Camu and El being shady with Def Jux money. http://www.wreckthetapedeck.com/2009/el-p-dishes-back-vast-aires-generous-portion-of-beef/
Jan 21, 2015 almost no one who put out records on def jux speaks fondly of it. i don't know how legitimate this is. i mean, it's an official album, and it's officially coming out--but i don't know what vordul's involvement was, if any. i had a long conversation with billy woods about it yesterday. i'd be skeptical about even listening to it.
Jan 21, 2015 No El-P, no gracias. No matter how Can Ox feel, their best work is with El-P. When I heard they were touring again, I was hoping that maybe they could bury the hatchet somehow and work with El again, especially since he's so popular right now. I guess the money issues were too much to get over. I also kind of blame El for the Will High/Vordul incident. He was egging that dude on. Shoutout to Vast though. He was cool when I met him a couple of years ago in El Barrio. Hopefully the album is good and he can reestablish himself.
Jan 21, 2015 You think that's what happened with Aesop? He probably pulled in the most back in those days. Him and El were too good of friends for the reason to ever surface.
Jan 21, 2015 i know exactly the point of contention between them, and if i told you, you would kind of think "...that's it?" i think it's simply a case where a small perceived betrayal gets blown up precisely because they were so close.
Jan 21, 2015 Everybody thinks it's because of the way he handled Camu's posthumous album. Tracks on Skelethon at least hint to that much. Not to mention Run the Jewels playing off of Run the Numbers. If you could spare a PM I would die a happy man.
