Feb 20, 2015 ... that you are a champion? Yes I did. This song is so perfect. So are a majority of Graduations songs, so why don't people consider it a classic? Tell me what it takes to be number one, tell me what it takes to be number one Seriously: Good Morning Champion Stronger I Wonder Good Life Can't Tell Me Nothing Flashing Lights Everything I Am Big Brother all classics. The rest range from mediocre to average, but aren't terrible (I for one love Drunk and Hot Girls). so why don't people consider Graduation a classic?

If I HAD to pick a weakness (All Kanye albums are 7/10 and higher): College Dropout - Too raw, back half is lacking LR - Too orchestral Graduation - Perfect mix 808s - Too whiny/autotune MBDTF - Best or second best album Yeezus - Rushed, too electronica.
Feb 20, 2015 I like MBDTF but I think it's highly overrated which I know is an unpopular opinion but it's my own. A lot of corny lines and lyrics. The production was insane but the content was subpar. I rather listen to Graduation over MBDTF any day of the week tbh
Feb 20, 2015 Graduation is slightly more listenable, so I understand where your coming from. Grad will always have a special place in my heart, first explicit CD I ever owned.
Feb 20, 2015 I absolutely agree it gets swept under the rug too much this s--- has a ton of standout songs that you basically listed up there, its an easy 9/10 album for me. I think people are put off by the more "pop" sound that is prevalent on Graduation and bear with me but some of the tracks here aren't as memorable as the ones found in his other albums imo
Feb 20, 2015 Nearly every way. lol Lyrically it's incredibly awkward from the Coldplay bit to the "bottom of the scrotum" and production wise it's easily the worst on the album. Trying way too hard to achieve "stadium status" sound while coming across as thin and hollow (the guitar part in particular sounds so thin it might as well have been done on a 90's synthesizer). Just a very cheesy, awkward song.
Feb 20, 2015 Graduation and College Dropout are tied for albums with most amount of non-classic Ye but CD's too revered by dust heads for them to say it so Grad takes all the hate because if you don't find something to dislike about Ye than you come off as irrational Personally Grad is a bit too poppy for my taste but I'm a weird n----- with my musical taste but I dont understand why others view it as too poppy compared to other s---.
Feb 20, 2015 I think mostly in retrospect it's fondly remembered as Ye's grand entrance to the game during a time when hip-hop was still "hardcore" on the mainstream level. I feel the same way about Reasonable Doubt/The Blueprint so I can't really disagree with your point.
