Eminem Recovery is a classic

    There is a lot of debate with this album and its like a love hate relationship but there is no middle ground. People hate it because of the mainstream production and a handful of corny lines and badly chosen songs. There is another side that believes thats its one of Eminems most truest and honest work. I believe that it lives up to a classic in terms of depth, lyrics, storytelling and execution. I understand there is a couple of bad songs thrown into the mix but it doesn't mean its not a classic, its just not flawless. With age this album is getting better and better. What do you guys think?

    It depends on what you define corny

    I appreciate music in any form or genre so looking at it as an album without tagging it in a genre I think its a classic

    The album is garbage. I couldn't listen to any song from the album today.

    While I don't think its a classic I do think its over hated (on here). I enjoyed the fresh feel it gave, I just think it was poorly executed. Couple awesome tracks but too many throw always. And the yelling is awful I just don't get why he felt the need to do that.

    It's not Em's worst album but it is the last album of his I'd ever want to listen to. His singing and yelling hurts my ears(not even trying to be funny), and to me he's awful at punchlines which are unfortunately all over the album. Those 3 things are enough to make me avoid this album even more so than Encore or Relapse.

    I enjoy Relapse/Refill more, and consider that a classic over Recovery.
