Mar 25, 2015 eh kanye's 03-08 features were mostly pretty exceptional. he's been only intermittently good since then (and sometimes awful) but the quality of his solo material hasn't dipped. he very well could fall off with this album but i can't draw any meaningful conclusions from his guest verses. kinda like how has will occasionally make you think he's gonna set the world on fire, then his actual albums are more staid.

Mar 25, 2015 My real worry is that 4-5 seconds was originally going to be on SHMG. Im not so sure his work with McCartney will work out great. Only One has aged pretty badly imo.
Mar 25, 2015 i didn't have "low" expectations for kendrick. and the only reason the kanye features don't lower my expectations is that he's shown with his last three records that the features have very little in common with his solo work. he's an exception. take chance the rapper. his features (save that bronson joint) have almost all been awful since acid rap. so, i have severely lowered expectations for his next solo work. but if it's great, then in the future i won't extrapolate like that. make sense?
