Apr 2, 2015 Never really noticed how much his voice has changed from section80 to TPAB... it almost sounds like he lost his voice prior to recording TPAB. Sounds good either way but has anyone else caught this?
Apr 2, 2015 I don't think it's that he lost his voice, I think he just changes it to fit the mood hes going for with each track, which is cool imo, keeps things fresh.
Apr 2, 2015 Yeah for sure sounds good either way. I just listened to don't blow my high on shuffle and was like d--- his voice sounds so much more full than now
Apr 2, 2015 I did not like Kendrick's old voice at ALL. Section.80 is when i started to be able to tolerate it. The older one sounds like a mix between a Wayne whine and a cracking voice.
Apr 2, 2015 I don´t like his voice on the C4 mixtape, that´s I think the only reason I don´t play this tape. It sounds like he has a sore throat or something- But I agree for the rest with @YiT , he changes his voice to fit the mood, and it works imo.
Apr 2, 2015 Imagine if he never decided to make regular music and kept trying to make hits. We woulda never got 3 classics
Apr 2, 2015 I think he's one of the few rappers that can do different things with his voice and it work. Like for example when Wayne tried the yelling thing (post Carter 3 anyways) he sounded f---ing dumb
Apr 5, 2015 Its either hit or miss for me to be honest..i'm either burned out on kendrick or his voice is kinda weak sometimes. Sometimes his voice is unbearable.
