I'd like to think there's an afterlife. The thought of everything just turning off like a lightswitch bugs the h--- out of me. Everything I've seen, all my memories... I don't want those to just vanish in thin air like they never happened.

But I'm also not a very religious person... I don't go to church. Never have, and I don't intend to. I believe in evolution (like, at this point I don't think you can disprove that), but I also believe everything came from somewhere...

What do you guys think? Do you believe in an after life? Reincarnation? Heaven/h---?

I believe after death you can choose if to stay here or not, I believe you can broke the circle of life and death of the Earth, you either choose stay here, or go to another world, death is like a brain reset, it erases all memories, because in the moment of death nothing matters at all, all you had done, all memories, it's just past, and when you're dead past, present and future doesn't exists, it's only the moment you are (or you're not), but you don't get to forget all things, you see I think our brain is like an HDD, when you want to erase all data from it, you don't erase it actually, you just replace it with another blank space, that's why sometimes we have those ''deja vu's'', or flashbacks of memories that didn't happened in your life. So when you die you may choose either to stay or not, but the circle of Earth is tricky, some forces can manage to trick you making you feel that the right path is to stay on Earth (that changes either you want to stay or go) maybe when we are about to 'born again' we see what life we had choose, maybe that's the explanation to people who has dreams that ocurr on the future (I had those type of dreams), or maybe all this is just a lie, but I want to believe that, after all, what the observer believes is what the observer perceives.

Nah I don't believe in the afterlife in a traditional sense. I believe once your time is up, it's up, and you're dead. Gone for good.

But the thing is @rapmusik, I don't think our memories and whatnot just dissipate into thin air. I mean, physically yeah, but like think about all your experiences and how they affect other people. It's not like everyone forgets about you when you're gone, and your experiences live on through those people you effect.

That's why normal things like wife and kids are so important to have, you can pass down your thoughts and opinions to them and mold them into wonderful people just like you who, although you may be dead and gone, still live with you through their behaviors and their own memories.

I don't really know.My father works in a hospital and he told me that sometimes when someone's about to die, they wake up for a minute like nothing ever happened and they seem fine and then they pass away.He was told by few patients before dying that someone is waiting for them, I don't know if its just a religious thing. I think there is something after death, there is way too many things we don't know about us yet. I believe were not just a piece of "meat".

Nah, because it just keeps layering. I am my own man, but have shades of my father, and my grandfather, and my great grandfather, and his father, and so on. The impact may lessen but the influence is still there. If there was no you there's be no kid to even have 2-3 generations later

I don't, but I would like to believe that there is an afterlife. The thought of being able to see dead relatives again is pretty nice. If there is an afterlife, I don't think it would be like heaven and h--- or reincarnation.

Y'know, apparently when you die a large amount of DMT is released and you hallucinate, and even 1 minute on DMT feels like an eternity. This could explain like what @FullSpeed's dad was saying.

But, and don't worry I'm not about to bust out the conspiracy theories, increased amounts of fluoride in the water actually effects your Pineal Gland, diminishing the amount of DMT produced.

So if we're entertaining my theory that your afterlife is just you tripping in DMT, our heavens and hells are actually diminishing and becoming shorter and not as vivid every generation. Our afterlife is actually fading away.

evolution seems very proving but I still think that someone/something did all this i mean everything is just too perfect to come out of nowhere, even the smallest detail on our body but maybe god put out seeds in a way and let it all grow i dont know but anyways im greatful that i am me and I appreciate this life so much and i really hope there is something after death i just cant imagine (obviously..) that it all just stops

If there is no afterlife, I hope that at least this happens. I'd like to at least believe I'm going somewhere or living a "new life" even if it is a dream. Dreams last almost 2 seconds in general (according to what I've read) and some feel like they last forever (until you wake up). Pair that with the fact that your brain can stay active for up to 3 minutes after death and the DMT and you may have your "afterlife"

The thought about death and memories actually scares me a lot. Ever since I was a little kid. I used to have trouble sleeping because the thought would come out of nowhere and I wouldn't be able to fall asleep. Like, it is so easy to die. Easier to die than live if you think about it. It just bothers me to think about how easy someone could just... stop living. Everything just shuts off like it never happened.

Paired with the notion that everything I've seen and will see with my two eyes cannot be replicated. It is unique to me and always will be. Then it all just disappears when you die? f---. I really hope not. I hope there is more to us than just living and dying.

That's why I believe in living your life to the Fullest (haha get it :lolbron:) There is no reason to save money if you can die any day( especially with all the bad s--- that's happening around the world recently), buy whatever you like. Enjoy your life, dead people don't need money on their accounts :khaled2:
