May 7, 2015 Interesting article I read, wanted to hear your guys thoughts. http://www.djbooth.net/index/mobile/feature/2015-04-20-kendrick-lamar-k----someone
May 7, 2015 A black man that grew up in Compton, killed another black man from Compton? Whoa. No way, This is like completely unheard of.
May 7, 2015 Uhhh.... The article is talking more about perspective. Since Kendrick has came out he's always been painted as the "good kid" in a "mad city". Not to mention Kendrick more so than not has taken the position of the kid who saw violence (Nas) rather than participated in it (Biggie). I don't think it's as obvious as you're trying to make it seem.
May 7, 2015 Yeah my post is pretty much a bs satirical stab at it. Literally any black man could come from Compton, say some cryptic s--- about maybe/maybe not killing someone, and people would believe he's a murderer purely because he's from Compton so it's easier to believe. Highly doubt Kendrick killed someone, though I wouldn't doubt that his actions (in some way) led to another mans death in some way, or he was involved. That's how hood life is.
May 7, 2015 Except with Kendrick it's really not easy to believe due to the image he's built and how he conveys himself in his music. Not saying he has killed someone but the writer does bring up some interesting points that go beyond just him being another African-American male who grew up in Compton.
May 7, 2015 Thats interesting. The Good Kid from the Madd City was not so good. Puts a whole new perspective on the album. It was more than likely just good storytelling and metaphors. But we can always wonder. Or perhaps he has left a breadcrumb trail for people to find out the truth.
May 10, 2015 Or what if he was a child r--ist that owed K.Dot money. I've thought about it but doubt. Just weird how often he brings it up.
May 10, 2015 I've always wondered this when hearing his projects but my mind won't allow me to believe it
