    Rolling Stones just hit us with a list of top (worst) 50 albums OAT by otherwise respectable artists. The winner?

    1 Kanye West 'Ye'

    The past five years of Kanye West’s life have been so unbelievably sad and self-destructive, culminating with a horrifying series of interviews in late 2022 where he praised Hitler and defended Nazis, that his recent albums have almost been an afterthought to most people. They are certainly the worst works of his career, and it would be easy to pick Jesus Is King or Donda as the single lowest moment. But we’re going with 2018’s Ye because it marks the beginning of the most disastrous artistic and personal collapse in the history of popular music. Clocking in at a mere 23 minutes, the chaotic, half-baked album was cut in Wyoming right around the time he told TMZ that slavery was a “choice” and started wearing a MAGA hat in public. The uproar over his slavery remark caused him to rework many of the Ye lyrics over a frantic two weeks shortly before the album dropped, which explains screeds like “Just imagine if they caught me on a wild day/Now I’m on 50 blogs gettin’ 50 calls/My wife callin’, screamin’, say, ‘We ’bout to lose it all.’” The Kanye scandals of 2018 seem almost quaint compared to his recent issues, but he’s never made music less vital than this.

    Very stupid explanation btw they are using his remarks and attitude as an argument lol. Because he said stupid things this album is the worst!!!!!

    Wallahi revival should be number 1.
    Eminem regarded as one of the best rappers and he has 3 classics but revival was even for his fall off a real s-----y album f--- him.
    Also kid cudis speedin bullet to heaven!!

    Revival should be on that list !

    I think that and Waynes "Rebirth" were the most disappointing first time listening sessions I ever had.
    Rebirth in particular, dude dropped C3,D3 and NC before and then dropped that piece of garbage.
    The only legit good song was "Drop the World".

    definitely overrated by *certain circles* but I thought it was a fitting swan song. nowhere near the first two, but solid album in its own right

    also like some others have said ye isn't a very good album but there's no way it takes number one if this list was published six months ago lol

    I also saw that Idlewild made this list, and tho I haven't heard it in years in my mind it's just ok. It's only considered horrible because of the standard Outkast set with the rest of their discography. But you gotta call it horrible to get clicks.

    Ye was fine. It was probably my favourite thing to come out of the Wyoming sessions.

    Dawn FM is a s-----y album. Should be on that list.

    if you look at the tracklist is something like “is there is someone else?” And is just the weeknd singing that phrase for 3-4 minutes.

    And all this just after the brilliant after hours. Abel’s Encore

    Ye isn't even the worst Kanye album
    Big Boi's Vicious Lies is more of a stain on Outkast's legacy than Idlewild

    Going from TLOP to Ye was definitely the biggest drop off in his career. But the albums that came after were even worse.

    I know this is very very unpopular, but to me from MBDTF/WTT to Yeezus was the biggest disappointment. And I think Yeezus is good.

    After Yeezus it was mostly average (like TLOP) to s---
