In this special, Ross touches on the controversial topics surrounding incarceration in America such as race, the use of solitary confinement and the death penalty. Ross was allowed to spend three days at the Brazos County Jail and experienced firsthand how inmates survive behind bars. From playing basketball in the yard to spending time in solitary himself, Ross gets up close and personal with the inmates, hears their stories, performs a stand-up show for them and even roasts a group of both male and female inmates. Jeff also speaks with numerous detention officers at the facility, learns about their inmate behavior management philosophy and sees firsthand how challenging their jobs can be.
