The 1996-1997 Detroit Red Wings for me. So many memories for that Stanley Cup victory that year. The roster for this team was awesome, Steve Yzerman, Nicklas Lindstrom, Sergei Fedorov, Brendan Shanahan, Mike Vernon, Igor Larionov, Darren McCarty, Kris Draper, and so many more. They went from being called The "Dead" Wings for decades to winning the Stanley Cup 2 years in a row.

The squad we had last year delivered one of the most euphoric moments of my life when after a 12 year drought we finally won the ucl, but this team was the one I'll always be very fond of before our coach and several key players were sacked/sold smh...2001-02 Real Madrid

I think I'll have to agree with you @Guerrilla. I was into the Red Wings big time as a kid, when I lived in MI. I still have the Hockeytown VHS tape of this Stanley Cup.

I was actually recently telling my wife about what happened to Vladimir Konstantinov after that season :emoji_slight_frown:

Other than that, the 2001 Diamondbacks. They won the WS 2 years after I moved to AZ and I was following them religiously. They set the record for fastest expansion team to win the World Series in just 4 years. I actually got to go to a first-round playoff game that year, against the Cardinals. I have a friend who want to 2 WS games that year, so jealous.

Any of the Lakers 3 peat teams. I love the Bulls, but growing up during that time there wasn't a more fun team to watch than the Lakers.
