    s--- man, I havent been excited for anything from Chance himself since Everyday Wonderful (and Surf was a flop). Nothing he's put out since Acid Rap has been anywhere near as good. I'm afraid he's gonna go Cudi on us.

    got over 600,000 first week downloads

    surf wasn't anywhere near as good as acid rap but he still better than Vic lol

    Surf was free. If it was for purchase it wouldnt have moved more than 150k. Vic's cooling it with Jay Bey and Kanye I think hes doing fine

    wiki says its got 10 million individual song downloads so that's certainly impressive

    he's surrounded by great people, yes

    was referring more to his music, it's not bad but it is all a bit cliche rap and he isn't better than chance

    Innanetape wasnt cliche to me. Vic just hasnt had an Acid Rap level project yet (i.e. Traffic)

    Problem with Chance is he's an amazing artist but, like Cole, he doesnt know how to manage the hype he has, which was astronomical and is less so now

    I think longterm, Surf and the SoX stuff will be a disaster move for Chance.

    Meanwhile Chance has nothing on the horizon in the way of a solo release and it's been two years, not even a proper single in that time

    The thing I hated about Surf is how we were misled so bad. Sunday Candy was the single and NOTHING else on the album is even similar. Just experimental instrumental trumpet bs and minimal rapping.

    I don't have the faith in him as much as I used to...all the Social Experiment stuff lost me.
    But, if he's doing what he wants, more power to him.

    Surf was great but not because of anything Chance did outside of Sunday Candy, which is the best song on the album. Plenty of good guest verses tho.

    I'm not sure it's fair to say he's fallen off when he's just trying to experiment with a new sound. His features have been subpar lately.

    I don't mind that chance didn't capitalize on his hype because not everyone cares about being the biggest name out, but he just hasn't released anything in a while that made me give even a fraction of a s--- (surf flopped hard from a musical pov)
