It always pissed me off that football in america is called soccer. Like why not just name american football soccer. Why steal the name of another sport? Stupid.

I romanticize the sport like a fool so this might come off as hyperbole but:
    • A lot of history and pedigree is involved
    • The on-field action is aesthetically pleasing, some teams play very captivating
    • A lot can happen in 90 minutes, some games are like WWE Ironman matches
Some clubs/teams have socio-political backgrounds, while it leads to chaotic scenarios it provides a dramatic spectacle

I guess I can see that.

me personally though, I'm not a huge fan of watching sports on television in general. I mean sure I'll watch a game or two here and there, but I'd much rather be there in the audience experiencing what's going on for myself. that's just me, though

I see what you mean funny enough I've been to more basketball games than soccer games admittedly. Like I've been saying as a kid, soccer/football is without exaggeration my life.

If I wanted to watch a bunch of dudes fail to score for 90 minutes, I'd go to the bar on a Friday night. Give me football over soccer.
