This is kind of an offshoot from DiggleDogg's discog thread and Wreckless' last album thread.

Gonna log in albums as i listen to them. Give me some suggestions I guess.

    Some Guidelines:
    - Albums will either be listens or relistens. Once an album is logged, it won't be logged again on further listens (EX: If i listen to TPAB, I'll log it, but if I listen to TPAB again in the future it won't be logged). Mainly so that there won't be lots of repeats.
    - Only albums. So no singles, playlists, etc. Might be some exceptions on a case by case basis.
    - Unless I explicitly say a rating (EX: "This is a 10" or "This is like a 3 at best") there won't be a rating. I feel like rating some of these albums off of first listen wouldn't be fair. Plus, some of these albums are gonna get full reviews on AOTW Club, so they'll have scores there.
    - Albums that I LOVE will have a :emoji_star: in front of the number
    - Redux reviews will only be done if the original review was either short, or if my thoughts have changed considerably

    MILESTONES:
1st Album: The World Is Yours - Scarface
    25th Album: TESTING - A$AP Rocky
    50th Album: --- - Danny Brown
    75th Album: Symbolic - Death
    100th Album: Pinkerton - Weezer
125th Album: Piñata - Freddie Gibbs & Madlib
150th Album: We Got It From Here…Thank You 4 Your Service - A Tribe Called Quest
175th Album: Yanqui U.X.O. - Godspeed You! Black Emperor
200th Album: good kid, m.A.A.d city - Kendrick Lamar

    1. Scarface - The World Is Yours (1993) [February 24th, 2025]

Starting off with a relisten. Pretty good record. I prefer the albums that come right before and right after it, but it's still a great showing from Mr. Scarface. "Now I Feel Ya" is the big stand out though. Although, "I Need A Favor" is f---ing dogshit. Waste of space on this generally pretty good album.

Music to be murder by. It’s an album by a struggling indie rap artist. He has a daughter and several mental illnesses. Pls stream and help him achieve his dreams

Another relisten for today. This album is f---ing GREAT. Not as good as the original, but it's still d--- good. My biggest issue with OB4CL2 is that it doesn't feel as cohesive at the first. But then again, the first is one of the best albums ever, so its very hard to beat. "Canal Street" was my favorite last time around, but this time I have to give shoutouts to "Cold Outside", "Black Mozart", "Catalina" and especially "Penitentiary". Aside from this record I haven't listened to any non-Ghostface Killah Wu Tang solos that have come out after Wu Tang Forever, so I might check out some of those. I guess now I just have to wait for OB4CL3 which will come out......eventually.

    :emoji_star: 3. Kanye West - Yeezus (2013) [February 24th, 2025]

Another relisten. Decided to play this on a whim. I've never had a solid choice, but I'd say the run from MBDTF to TLOP are at the top of Ye's discog imo. I still love the production. Kinda hard to listen to Ye without acknowledging his actions (seriously, wtf is up with that swastika shirt), but I don't let it taint his older work too much. Going forward though? I am Notttttt gonna be kind to BULLY if it ever drops. Lou Reed did a good analysis on this record before he passed, which is pretty cool, and I'll link it below.

    4. Mos Def - Black on Both Sides (1999) [February 25th, 2025]

Another relisten. This record had a grasp on me 4-5 years ago, and it's still great. I remember being REALLY into Mos Def for a bit. "New World Water" f---ing rocks. Might need to revisit TND and the Ecstatic at some point.

This record is kinda nostalgic. It was like at all the college parties back in the day. Still prime Kanye.

Yet another relisten. Honestly, I might prefer this over Transformer. This album is just like... really f---ing sad man. "Caroline Says II" and "Sad Song" almost made me tear up. Man.

Such a great album, one of my favorites ever. And to think Lou Reed was pretty much a pop artist in the 70s lol. So versatile.

You guessed it, another relisten. I'll check out a new album soon, I promise. Soul Food is great. I prefer it to OutKast's Southernplayallisticcadillacmuzik by quite a bit. "Cell Therapy" is always great, but holy s--- "Goodie Bag" is f---ing amazing. Incredible record.

Another relisten. It's a classic, what else can I say. There's a certain track on here that I want to hopefully add to an AOTW Club tape if it matches whatever them we come up with.
