    Hey guys I just finished my poverty attempt at making a beat. I need some feedback, tips, criticism, or anything... Please help me get better because my stuff sounds repetitive and I had too much trouble making a melody that I just left it out. (I know its bad so I don't mind criticism at all). Thanks for your help.

    You need some actual melodies going on in there or something. It's so empty with just the drums m8

    Yea, needs a melody.

    Just make as many beats as you can and practice. Thats the best tip i can give you. Its the only way to get better. Music theory would really help too later on.

    experiment to find your sound and always start with some chords and a melody and everything will start to fall into place. Watch some tutorial videos, play around with loops and samples, whatever you gotta do, just learn it all fam. I wish you the best of luck

    Thank you, ive been having a lot of trouble with melodies and how to build a proper beat. It would help if I had nexus but I could never find a free download.

    EDIT: Getting better, still having trouble with melodies but its getting a little better. My 808s are A1 and hi hats are perfection.

    I'm still working on it and its not amazing but it is decent. With the demo for mac you cant save your progress so I have leave FL Studio open then export it when im done so thats frustrating because if my computer decided to restart, I will lose my progress.
