In the lead-up to the massive Apple event in San Francisco next week, details have emerged on how the Apple TV poses a threat to the big console game market dominated by Sony PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox. Mark Gurman, of 9to5Mac, has published details of the new remote for the Apple TV set top box expected to be announced next week which highlights Apple’s big push into the gaming console market. The report says the new TV remote with have built-in motion sensors so that you’ll be able to turn and twist it as a steering wheel in car racing games. The new Apple TV will also support third-party dedicated gaming controllers. One of the big changes to the new Apple TV will be a dedicated app store which will let people download the games they love playing on their mobile devices so that they will be able to play them on their big-screen TV. The new Apple TV is expected to be released in stores next month, with an expected price of about $200.
