Yeah, well everyone needs a job but I'd take $30,000 a year doing something I enjoy over $100,000 a year doing something I don't like. I guess that's also partly why I switched majors from business to philosophy. Just thought f--- it I'll study what I enjoy even if it means no real career path/plan at the end of it. You can drop out the rat race without dropping out of society. Just have the confidence to make the life decisions that match your definition of success, not society's.

Chad agrees that working isn't ideal. But it turned C-Wizzy into a grown man.

Where did this notion of doing something you don't like come from? If I were to look for it an exit out of the game it would be in something I like. But I understand your point. But I'm not sure I would study a subject academically if the career choices were extremely limited, you end up spending funds on something you may not even get the oppurtunity to capatalize on in later life. Brb paying to study fine arts just to work at walmart for the rest of your life after the degree. [Not disrespecting anyone, just making a point]/

Back to the topic, I can't stand the fact that I'm making someone else's dreams come true. It's not really about comfortability, it's about me working for some guy so he get's richer and not being able to stand that concept. It's a game to me. I'll work more hours a week for myself if I have to. I also like being a risk taker and being 100% responsible for whether I win or lose, because I know I generally have the diligence and craft to succeed at most things I apply myself to. Being in the ratrace just gives me this deep routed feeling that I'm settling for less and playing it safe, I 'hate' the feeling of settling for less than my worth and living in fear.

Most people do something they don't like. It's pretty rare for someone to wake up on Monday morning excited to go into work. Usually if you want that you have to make sacrifices in terms of career progression/potential and salary.

So you just don't want to work for someone else? At least you know that. Have a think about what you could do instead, and when you've decided go ahead and take the plunge.

Oh I get you, yeah most people in the rat race are stuck in a miserable cycle which they loathe, I've always been the type of person to question things and rebel more, I just can't see myself working for someone for forty years.

Well yes, that's one factor I am against yes, but it's a collection of different components which have helped to form my opinion,I like being my own man/standing on my own feet and knowing skys the limit. The world is yours mane ..

I'm building up my skillset and will eventually come up with something lol, thanks though.

I f---ing hate it. Our whole country seems to be set up to keep people at the bottom. I hate working for corporations. And I don't plan to for long. I want to get my music off the ground so I can make money, support myself, enjoy life, and change the way things are done. I could go into detail about how corrupt the education system is, and our country as a whole, and why the "American Dream" is a lie, and how much I despise the system, but I'm not going to. It would either be long as h--- or I would just work myself up. Probably both. But trust me your not alone. I have a deep loathing of the rat race. And I don't intend to be apart of it for long.

Oh trust me I know. The entire world is in a state of decay. Unequivocally f-----. But I still think we have a bright future ahead of us if we do something about it. And thanks dude. My EP is still a work in progress but I'll make a thread when it's done.

I think it's safe to say that your 20's are the period when you lose your childishness and start becoming mature. At least in western society.
