Oct 15, 2015 Interstellar is not better than Boyhood, Into the Wild is not better than TWBB or No Country, etc etc
Oct 15, 2015 It's an ambitious movie, nobody can say its not, but it's story gets really sloppy, its dialogue so on the nose and over-expositional even by Nolan standards, that it almost becomes self parody. Nolan seems to have it in his mind that he has to top himself in scope with each movie, when his best films were the ones that didn't rely on scale but used it as a story enhancement (Dark Knight did this almost perfectly IMO). Also the whole "love" concept and third act had me laughing at points, and the most mind blowing part my first viewing was trying to figure out if that was actually Matt Damon playing Dr. Mann, which says a lot honestly when you have a film thats climax involves a inter-dimensional hall of bookshelves. And off the top of my head: Boyhood, Birdman, Whiplash, Grand Budapest, LEGO Movie, Gone Girl and Foxcatcher are all better IMO.
Oct 15, 2015 I could have guessed like 90% of this by just asking, "What would your average teenage boy pick?"
Oct 15, 2015 France is one of the most important film nations ever. Not hard to argue the most important tbh. You guys definitely deserve better than a dramedy on IMDB.
Oct 17, 2015 I Enjoyed all those movies, except LOTR and Into The Wild wich i haven't seen but we all know it's a horrible list i like IMDB when it comes to just ratings, not lists, despite it tends to overrate. For example, i do think The Dark Knight is a 9/10 film but nowhere near the the Top 5 of all time as it says on the Top 250. Same with Reservoir Dogs, i rated it 8/10
