    both songs are SOMEWHAT similar. beats are both great from that deja vu dre bass too fine lines beautiful piano, somewhat reminding us of the 8 mile days. both are very personal and imo one of his best songs

    which is better and why?

    I gotta give it to Deja Vu. The verses are more vivid, the beat is so much harder & that hook is so much more memorable.

    Deja Vu's writing is so much more superior than Fine Line, let alone the execution. This is really a no brainer.

    Deja Vu, even though Fine Life was one of the better songs on Shady XV. looking back at that album it was a dissapointing project.

    Fine Line is very good, but imo only the 2nd verse is amazing.
