Nov 11, 2015 Producers may still be trying to emulate Dre's big budget sound Hov would still be Hov, but Kanye's impact on the back half of his catalogue would be missed Gansta rap may still be relevant 50 Cent's career post-Curtis may have went differently 40 and Drake would have never made it past 2007 Toronto would not be the hotbed it is today Pusha T would still be Pusha T of the Clipse Common's best album to date wouldn't exist J. Cole would not exist in his current form, if at all Super collaborations (ex. Swagga Like Us) may not have existed Rap tours would not have the production quality they currently have Auto-tune would forever be a gimmick Hip-hop would lose its greatest visionary of all time
Nov 11, 2015 The major difference would be that albums would still be the works of one artist, with some producers to help him. Kanye popularized the concept of making an album with 20-30 persons. That would be a major difference in the music industry
Nov 11, 2015 I think the music in hiphop would be the same it's just no one would be sampling as good as Kanye does and we wouldn't have the classic songs that Kanye has produced
