Jan 16, 2016 Growing up i would spend hours and days with friends at the skatepark or just in the front of the house trying new tricks. From when i got my first skateboard at around 8 years old up until about 14 i would always skateboard during the summer. I watched skate demos to pump me up before going outside and trying new tricks. I think by the age of 15 i had completely stopped skateboarding. Don't know if it was because of a change of friends, growing up or the sport dying down but i haven't touched a board ever since. Recently i've went back to watching skate videos and it really light up a spark. I have completely ignored skateboarding for years but still feel so passionate when watching those videos. It still makes me want to go outside and skateboard. I actually feel like getting back to it but there's a little hesitation. This summer i'll be 24 and there's this part of me that keeps telling me I'm just too old for this, Anyway, any skateboarders out there or people who used to skateboard?
Jan 16, 2016 I use to when I was younger, but I haven't in probably 6-7 years now. Could never do any tricks besides ollies (could attempt plenty of others but I'd always bail out because I got nervous on the landings). Was fun as s--- tho never did the whole skatepark thing tho, ramps scared the s--- out of me and I couldn't grind, so i was useless there
Jan 16, 2016 Ramps weren't my thing either but still could ride them and do a few moves. The very first time is terrifying though. I was actually quite good for my age. Nailed all the basic tricks like kickflips, heelflips, varial kickflips and other stuff. Rails also, Skateboarding is crazy fun. I think there isn't as much satisfaction in any other sports as there is in landing a new trick you've been trying to land for hours or even days.
Jan 16, 2016 skateboarding is the only sport other than E-ones that I could possibly find entertaining tbh, it's the only one I'd ever watch on TV
Jan 16, 2016 People who have never tried skateboarding often underestimate the level of difficulty and how many hours of practice have been put in to land what looks like a simple trick. It's often hours and days that are put in just to land a trick that will appear for 10 seconds on video.
Jan 17, 2016 Nah I tried it once and I do have a skateboard but I find it's more fun to just play Tony Hawk
Jan 17, 2016 Yeah, I was skateboarding when I was younger, but I was pretty s-----y tbh. I still love the sport though.
Sep 11, 2016 I just bought a new skateboard. Looking forward to start from scratch after 10 years break.
Sep 12, 2016 Nah, all my toys have engines, ever since I was 4 I've been riding dirtbikes, atv's, snowmobiles, you name it
Sep 12, 2016 recently hopped on a friends and i wasn't too rusty after all the years, good luck to you on it
Sep 12, 2016 yeah used to mainly skated stairs and shi though wasnt really f---ing with ramps and s---
Sep 15, 2016 ya i used to when i was like 12 but living far away from any place to skate i just quit after a couple of years
Sep 15, 2016 Did it for like 4 years a while back now I can't even ride a skate board without falling over lol
Sep 15, 2016 I haven't skateboarded since I was 7... all the skateboarders around here are f---ing drone idiots, and I want to smash their skateboards over their head sorry went off topic there..
