Feb 16, 2016 i feel like thugs personality has changed alot since he was interviewed for this article.
Feb 16, 2016 "once, in the middle of another interview, he got up, walked out the room, went to the airport, and flew away."
Feb 16, 2016 “What's a question you wish an interviewer would ask you, but they never have?” Thug was silent for a minute. Possibly looking at me. Possibly looking out the window. Possibly asleep. It was a very, very long minute. “Meaning?” Every word he says is short. Clipped. Hardly even a syllable. “People probably ask you the same s--- all the time. What's something you wish people would ask you?” “Do I care.” “Okay. Do you care?” “No. I don't give a f---.” Lmfao
Feb 16, 2016 Lmfaoooox2 GQ once scheduled a photo s---t with him, and he could not be persuaded to get off his kitchen counter to have his picture taken (though clearly, as you can see, he enjoys having his picture taken). He didn't say no; he just never acknowledged that anyone had asked him anything. Once, in the middle of another interview, he got up, walked out of the room, went to the airport, and flew away.
Feb 16, 2016 idk i dont like when these kind of intro still talk about him calling people "bae" etc lmao makes them seem really behind on him as an artist/person in 2016 like, just like with kanye, i get that contradictions are part of what make him annoying, but they could be framed differently. instead, every writer approaches it the same exact way
Feb 16, 2016 this reminds me of the other day last week when BLB said him and thug were going to the Puma show w Rihanna, but since they didnt have Thug's seat ready when they got there he just left (and obviously blb had to leave with him) lmaoo and to make himself feel better, BLB posted a fake IG pic saying he got new boots from Rihanna/Puma on periscope later hew as goin off like "WHY WHY WHY WHY THAT FOOL NEED TO LEAVE????"
Feb 16, 2016 Thug was there when I'd shown up a couple of hours earlier. He was walking around with his daughter Haiti, age 5, on his shoulders. Haiti's sister Hayden, age 3, was sitting on her mother's lap. Little perfectly braided heads, little matching Timberland boots. Thug spent some time snuggling the s--- out of those little girls. Be EL Be, Thug's video guy, said Haiti was spoiled and very, very smart. She did seem to have a savoir faire I hope to learn someday. Be EL Be was up here now, and he explained the scene to me. “There are two Thugs,” he said. “One a rapper and one a gambler. This ain't Thug, it's Lil Jeff. I think he like shooting dice more than rapping.” Then he said, “I saw him win a $100,000 watch a couple weeks ago. Lost all this money and then took it all and the watch, tricked them. He's slick. That's why they call him Slime.” EDIT: you guys need to learn to comment more SMFH im not tryina have 10 posts in a row on purpose
Feb 16, 2016 any reason why? as i said a few posts up -- im personally getting tired of these stories being framed the same way wbu tho
Feb 16, 2016 yeah like, it's framed from the same boring, disbelieving outsider place. it's the least interesting way to approach a subject, and it's the least effective, too. the writer makes the legal stuff seem trite. he compares him to a preschooler in the opening graf. i don't f--- with this.
Feb 16, 2016 yeah that parallel play thing made me double take lmao If anything, Id love to approach a piece like this SOLELY from the POV that he's a family man. like..that recent story hes been telling about getting kicked out of school? it all started because his dad gave his teacher permission to rough him if he wasnt paying attention and, int hugs words, the teacher was "dumb enough to try it" lmao. But he still respects his dad because he's the only one that stuck around. Stuff like that...his time in that military school type setting after getting kicked out, where gambling became his #1 pastime. How gambling relates to his career. How purposeful his artistic vision is vs. how haphazard people on the outside think it is. etc. idk anything but framing it as thug being an alien we're prodding lol and, from the other interviews/clips ive seen, he apparently is VERY talkative. like, when cameras are off, apparently you can't stop him from being a clown. you can tell this much from even the interviews he's done in France. It's only when he feels like he's in hostile territory that he seems to become unresponsive so the writer definitely tried to fit this entire piece into the narrative he laid out in the intro.
Feb 16, 2016 This dude has literally rapped about still taking naps with his mom -- there's gotta be more interesting angles lol
Feb 16, 2016 there's also, like, this vague disdain for the subject/everywhere he is. yeah idk this sucks i'm frustrated lol.
Feb 16, 2016 im not frustrated because i always love new tidbits about thug -- but i had the same feeling throughout especially during that bit about Quavo rapping in the studio also that Patrick Ewing reference...pretty sure thats not even a real thing
