Mar 18, 2016 I'm going to take a guess here, and take in all I know about Eminem, to try and accurately find a year where he may stop rapping and retire. Here's what he know: Eminem loves rap. He supports current rappers like Kanye and Drake, loves to collaborate with artists that often get hated, such as Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne, and is a huge fan of classic rappers, like Run DMC and LL Cool J. Eminem is truly dedicated to rap, and even though he does get hated a lot (and always has, even from the days he started rapping) he not only raps for his fans, but for himself, and for his love of rap and contributing to the genre. With all that said, it seems like Em will be here to make music for us for years to come. However, now we need to take other things into consideration, such as his life expectancy. Em was once a heavy user of many drugs, including sleeping pills and other dangerous prescription medicines. He's also most likely done other drugs, and I am positive he has drunk a number of times in the past. The chances of him dying earlier than a lot of people are pretty high. Thankfully, Em did stop doing drugs and drinking alcohol completely in 2008, and he became sober. This alone likely has saved or even added many years into his life expectancy, and cuts out the chances of ODing on anything. I'd say Eminem's life expectancy (if he does not have a heart attack or any other major health problems later in his life) is 70 - 80 years of age. Now, with that said, let's see how committed to rapping Eminem is. He struggled in the mid 1990s to get anywhere in rap, due to his skin mostly. Eventually he broke out into the mainstream, and he stayed dedicated to rapping. He also once said he would never stop rapping, in "When h--- Freezes Over", but in later song from 2006 (It's Been Real) Eminem nearly retires. It's also worth noting that Encore was meant to be his final album, even more evident seeing how a year later he released Curtain Call: The Hits, which makes sense. Release final album, then release a compilation CD now that I'm done with rap, and maybe do a few more tracks after this every so often. However, this did not happen, as Em came back in 2009 with Relapse and made a whole bunch of song in this era as well. This shows that Eminem clearly does love rap like I said earlier, and could very well rap into his fifties. Speaking of his age... Eminem, at the time I'm making this post, is 43. Many people complain he is not as good as he once was and cannot rap. While I'm not going to get in that, my point is that Eminem has been what many people see is "technical", even more so than he was before in previous years. With this said, he clearly still is able to rap, and go faster than ever. The only real difference is voice and once again, being a little more technical (which I don't mind). Basically, Eminem does not have to worry about his age getting in the way of rap (for now at least). Finally, let's look at other rappers: Dr. Dre is 50 years old, and is Eminem's mentor. He recorded his final album when he was almost 50, and it was well received, so if Dre could make an album at 50, I'm sure Eminem could do so as well. Taking all of this into account... plus the desire that Eminem has been slowing down with songs recently and that nothing lasts forever and that one day he will no longer rap... I can safely say that Eminem will most likely retire between the years of 50 and 55, and he doesn't retire at that age he will definitely retire by 65. It would be dope if he did keep rapping until then, but I seriously doubt it. Well, what do you think about this? Do you think that Eminem will retire in the years I stated, earlier, or even later? Let's discuss this.
Mar 18, 2016 honestly I justwould like to get older and always have new eminem music to keep listen. And would be cool if he make as much albums as Tech N9ne
Mar 18, 2016 1-2 more solos 1-2 more side projects Then features forever then one last project with leftover vault material when he's older
Mar 18, 2016 The thought of retiring is makin' me want to set your daughter on fire with a soldering iron
Mar 19, 2016 I couldn't be f----- reading that horrifically huge block of essay but he'll always be active in some capacity. Whether it's producing, features or late career compilation albums of earlier material.
Mar 19, 2016 He'll quit when he stops selling so stop dwelling h--- spill raps til he collapse Til he grows a beard gets weird and disappears Fr tho who cares, he's not in his hat day he doesn't need an official retirement. He'll be around to do features and produce for a long time
