    Yep he's done after the NBA Finals. Huge loss for ESPN. He's one of the biggest personalities they have. I'm gonna miss him on First Take.

    Plus he already has ties with many of the Fox Sports people. They're actually doing great. I'm kinda surprised.

    They get crushed every week in the ratings by espn 5x over at least...including Colin's show after they paid him tons of money and its only drawing 30k more viewers than the show they had previously in that time slot.

    After branding themselves as an ESPN alternative when they launched FS1 has done nothing but hire former ESPN talent, including Jamie Horowitz who is basicslly just creating same "embrace debate" styles shows Fox swore they would never do.

    They're a mess lol

    They are slowly but surely getting a lot of talent. Skip will definitely go there. There's no reason he won't. They'll pay him and he'll bring the ratings. I like watching a lot of FS1, but it's always gonna be hard to compete with an empire like ESPN.

    I think they're a few years off, but they're in the right direction. I like watching FS1 a lot and like how they show a lot of soccer.

    FS1>>> ESPN is way too biased to leagues/college conferences they have deals with. They all picker Nova out in the first weekend. Clearly didn't watch a single game of theirs. r-----s

    I hate skip and never agree with him and the same with Stephen A but they have great onscreen chemistry and watch first take all the time. Skip is going to Fox Sports for $5 mil a year. Apparently ESPN wouldn't go above $4.

    Skip is one of those personalities on the 4 letter that I love to hate. What he's doing is working. I never agree with him and many times I find him rather annoying but I always watch lol.

    Soccer is their highest rated programming after UFC...they should just stick to live programming as that is what is always going to bring them the most new eyes to the network.

    Overpaying espn personalities may slightly hurt their rival but history show it's not going to bring them a large increase in ratings...didn't work for NBC with Dan Patrick or for them with Colin- about 50k viewers a day for Patrick/75k for Colin which is ESPNU numbers (btw before they had Colin FS1 had Fox Sports Live or whatever its called in that timeslot and it did 50k)...even ESPNEWS shows (which do half the numbers of ESPN 2 shows) like Russillo's show (who I really dig) does about 200k a show and that show has about the lowest numbers on their family of networks (PTI gets about 1M per show and Around the Horn 800k).

    My point is, it's a nice headline for them to get big names but they are fighting such an uphill battle of people having a habbit of turning on ESPN that the money spent isn't going to net them enough of a viewer increase to make it worth it. FS1's whole campaign was they were going to be original and different and now their doing just the opposite and like I said history shows viewers aren't going to watch another network trying to "do ESPN" better than ESPN.
