Sep 28, 2016 On Wednesday evening, the New Jersey rock legend participated in a live Q&A hosted by Apple executive Eddy Cue. While the main purpose was to promote his new memoir, Born to Run, Springsteen also answered questions about his favorite cheeseburger, his mind-boggling physique, and his favorite contemporary artists. “Green Day, they make great records and they’re always thoughtful and intense and they have a band that plays great together. Also, my old friends from U2 are still doing just fine. They consistently sound great and are creative. I have an iPod full of things that can’t come to mind right now.” Ok, so that may seem like a prototypical dad answer, Springsteen did name-check two very relevant artists when asked if he listens to a genre aside from rock ‘n’ roll. “I like Kendrick Lamar a lot. He’s intense. He’s a great rapper, very intense. I like Kanye West, I think Kanye West makes great records. I love his records. Those are just very, very creative, amazing records.” During his previous world tour, Bruce covered Lorde’s “Royals”. Maybe next go-around, he can cover “Fade”? Sep 29, 2016 I would see Kanye using him over Kendrick Tbh. I mean s---...Kanye has already worked with Elton John & f---ing Paul Mccartney, why not add another legend to the list?
Sep 29, 2016 Kendrick worked with Prince, Ron Isley and George Clinton tbh...but I guess you mean rock legends?
