Jan 31, 2017 If the script is good Zack Snyder would be the perfect man for the job. All the batman stuff in BvS was super awesome, and Batman is his favorite comic hero. good alternatives would be David Fincher or Tim Burton.
Jan 31, 2017 Somebody not s--- would be nice. Affleck's a competent director who doesn't have to put his own personal watermarks over everything for you to know he directed it, like Zack Snyder making every 30 f---ing seconds look like the climax of the movie.
Jan 31, 2017 There's been nothing but conflicting reports about Affleck and this movie. Originally he was set to write, direct and star, I don't know why he's going away from that now. This would be the first comic book movie to be written and directed by an oscar winning wirter and director. He could have done great things for this. Im beginning to think that the DCEU is going to blow up before this is even a done script. Critically, they are 0/3, and I'd bet my d-ck that Justice League gets bad reviews. Batman is their All Star. He's their Iron Man. He's the most marketable movie superhero ever, yet somehow theyre having trouble getting this movie going. I loved Affleck as Batman and I cant wait to see him in a solo movie where he's not held down by other DC characters. (Team up movies and crossover movies do not work for Batman.) They have the potential and star power to make the best batman movie ever, sadly, I dont think we see Affleck as Batman after Justice League flops.
Jan 31, 2017 You can do one of 2 things for this Batman movie. 1: Scrap it and save a solo Batman movie for an actual good one. Affleck said if the script is not good then he's not directing. Clearly the script is no good lmao. I'd rather wait 5 years for a decent batman movie than get a terrible one by next year. 2: Go back to the roots of Batman. Dark, gothic, horror themes. It is a must, and I mean absolute MUST that the Joker is the main villain. There is no way around this. I know they've already announced Deathstroke, but I don't see why. This must be why Ben is pulling out. You have the greatest rouges gallery out there to choose from and they go with Deathstroke? They already boned Jared Leto once, give him another shot. I never imagined that the DCEU's Batman movie wouldnt have Joker as the main villain. You can do so many things with the psychology of Batman/Joker. Deathstroke would be a one dimensional, bland villain in a probably bland movie.
