    Spatula Relapse is a masterpiece

This is not another "Relapse is great" thread. You may think what you want about Relapse, but that's limited to accents and lyrics/subject matter. But from a strictly technical, rhyming, flow, beats, energy and consistency, Eminem was at his peak in 2009. You can dislike the lyrics and subject matter on Relapse, but just listen to how he sounds on it, how he flows, how he rhymes everything but is actually saying something (again, you may dislike what he's saying but he's saying something).

Eminem's technicality today led him into a state where he's not saying anything at all, like just naming random objects that rhyme. His flow is not fluent and fun to listen to. But d---, his rapping is amazing in Relapse. His flows are impeccable. He's a pleasure to listen to.

And I love the accents. With the accents you know he's just playing around, joking, having fun and not taking himself too seriously, but still rapping his a--- off. It's incredible.

I disagree.. 2002/2003 Em sounded the best... can't find song in relapse era where he sounds better than this:

But easiely he never sounded better than Relapse since Relapse

Yup and that album is still a classic...but that whole few years between patiently waiting and all those features like my name with x. All the way to the invasion mixtapes that was his prime for everything ,content voice and riding the beat in my opinion.

Yup, 100000% agree. This is when I loved eminem the most. His ability to ride ANY beat and actually bring content at the same time was impeccable and rarely seen in hip hop since. I always felt like Em's peak was the 50 Cent signing (but if you wanna start with MMLP then I wouldn't disagree) up to the release of Inavsion Prt 3 or Encore. Can't remember which one came out the latest in 2004 but whichever one it was, this is when his peak came to an end.

But the relapse to recovery eminem is definitely the next best phase.

I'm really excited to hear what he says on his new album. If he can mix the best aspects of Relapse, Recovery, and MMLP2, he could technically release his best album ever. Of course this will never happen but it's technically possible and fun to imagine. He just needs to capture the beats/mixing from relapse, content, emotion, and passion from Recovery, and the technical rhyme schemes from MMLP2 (like Groundhog Day, Evil Twin, Baby, Wicked Ways, etc).

Edit: out of his entire career's catalogue, I STILL bump his songs and guest appearances from the 3 Invasion mixtapes more than anything else he's ever released haha. I love that s--- so d--- much!

Too bad it was met with negative criticism. He could have prolonged it.

the accent is the only thing that killed relapse. Other than that, everything was perfect.

nah overall but yes sice his comeback. Hello, Crack A Bottle, Deja Vu, h--- even Stay Wide Awake he sounds goooood asf. even tho some of the songs are brutally cringey, the way he (& production ofc) sounds on them makes it enjoyable for me.

I really like Relapse and love Refill. Recovery is great and a commercial success. MMLP2 is very bad. Shady XV is great. Medicine Man is one of best verses ever. k--- For You and No Favors especially are beyond terrible. Hills is also good.

Crack A Bottle flow is the best since comeback. He actually flows and his voice is great. I do not include lyrics in my review.
