    Which west coast album was better? Game's debut The Documentary or Kendrick's Section.80?

    For me it's no question i like The Documentary better than both S80 and GKMC. On SL The Doc. was beating GKMC in a poll but it seems on this forum GKMC is even more loved than before so i decided to use S80 instead of GKMC.

    For me The Documentary is the best west coast album ever, you just cannot beat songs like Westside Story, Dreams, Hate it or Love it, How We Do, Put you on the Game, Start From Scratch, We Ain't, Where I'm From etc.

    But.. Documentary was a 'major label debut', whilst Section 80 was an 'independent' album.

    True but S80 was still great. I didn't want to do GKMC again cause that was on SL

    Documentary has a plethora of super producers like Scott Storch, Dre, Timbo etc, because it was a major label debut. And that's not to mention the marketing budget and big name features 'major label' albums get. Section 80 was released via TDE like a mixtape..

    Documentary for sure. But unfair comparison.

    The fair comp would be GKMC vs Doc and we all know who wins there...

    These two are so close...... I'd probably edge it to Section 80. simply because from a rappers stand point, Kendrick is surperior but nothing against The Documentary at all.

    Documentary. Not even close. Jesus Piece vs Section 80 would be a more fair comparison.

    Didn't G-Unit recently reunite? If they came out with an album I have a feeling game would be on it, they could use each other, I'd like to see that happen

    One can imagine.
