Dec 11, 2014 This show is a timeless classic. I wish I could watch it when it was on air. I also wonder how is it to wait a whole week for another Sopranos episode. It must be a dreadful feeling tho.
Dec 11, 2014 Back in the day my father set my grandparents up with one of those satellite receiver cards that allowed access to every channel for free, but you occasionally would have to recalibrate it otherwise you'd lose your channels, and when The Sopranos ended my grandfather thought the receiver quit out on him and he was absolutely furious
Dec 11, 2014 haha poor grandpa. I've read a lot of similar stories in Soprano related arcticles when I ended the show a couple months ago. If I didn't know the black screen is gonna show up in the final scene, I would have probably thought my monitor got broken or sth.
Dec 11, 2014 I saw the black screen and thought "oh d--- to tony died" - cuz that's what happened, and give a f--- what Chase has to say about it lol
Dec 11, 2014 he was being sarcastic about tony being alive because of all the times people asking the same question over & over. The ending is my favorite ending of any show i have ever watched, it was genius.
Dec 11, 2014 Did the sopranos reach that high level of popularity in USA that tv stations had to report about fans being disappointed with the finale? lol
Dec 12, 2014 Greatest ending to a TV show ever and also the show that ushered in the new generation of how great TV shows could be. I love the Sopranos.
Dec 12, 2014 My issues with the show. - Tony's dreams felt like filler, there was no need for any of them, except maybe the dream he had when he had food poisoning, other than that dream, i felt pretty annoyed whenever we witnessed his dreams as it didnt fit with the show. - AJ became such an emotional p----. I know when i rewatch the show i will skip 99.9% of AJ's scenes. - Phil Leotardo's death was over-the-top & the acting in the scene was horrendous & the worst of the entire show. The car rolling over his head was beyond r-----ed. He should of been popped & then move onto a new scene, but they dragged it out & made me cringe Other than those 3 small issues, the show was amazing, I feel blessed for witnessing the amazing talent of James Gandolfini, im just sad i never got to see it earlier. Edit: I take back what i said about the dreams... when i rewatched the show, i really got to love them
Dec 13, 2014 It was on the front page of several newspapers if I'm not mistaken. The Clintons also spoofed it not too long after and had Johnny Sack in the video: Also, never forget that Treach and the God, Lord Jamar, were on The Sopranos:
Dec 14, 2014 Glad i watched this show when I did. I wouldn't of appreciated how amazing it is had I watched it when it was on TV. Miss this show.
Dec 15, 2014 once i get good internet in my new place i gotta continue my rewatch this f---ing show is absolutely fantastic
Dec 23, 2014 I enjoyed the Phil death scene, it gave a possible reason as to why the man in the members only jacket killed Tony at the end (retaliation for how Phil was killed.) One of my biggest issues was how they never closed out the Russian story from Pine Barrens. Paulie and Chris never find him and Paulie's car isn't there after they get picked up. It's most likely he's dead since Tony visits Slava again but it would have been nice to get clarification on that.
Mar 3, 2015 I first watched the sopranos last October/November. It kills me to know we lost such an amazing actor. Over the past few weeks my mother started watching it, she bought the sopranos box set & the wire box set. She never watched them before, & she chose to watch sopranos first, so i watched it with her. I have never seen someone so obsessed with a show. All she spoke about for weeks was sopranos, she spent every day speculating what will happen next & quoting lines from the show every few minutes lmao. While rewatching it, the scene where tony asks junior if he loves him, & junior starts crying, it really got to me. It was definitely one of the saddest scenes in the show. The saddest was Adriana's death, i know i seen it before, but i really wanted her to escape from all the drama, as soon as her fantasy ended & it returned to reality, i know she knew it was the end. My mother fell in love with Pauly & Junior. She said if Pauly died she wouldnt watch the rest of the show.. She actually wants to get a pauly tattoo lmao, im trying to think of ideas. I think she should get a quote from him, such as ''Word To The Wise, Remember Pearl Harbour'' . Id love some recommendations.
