Mar 18, 2022 the age-old argument; what is, truly, the best television series of all time? i'd love to lay out an analysis of why breaking bad is the greatest tv show of all time, but i'd be disagreed with. my top three, while i'm only talking about the number one in this case, goes as follows; breaking bad, the twilight zone, and the wire. all very different in what makes them great, but definitely some of humanity's best work in television entertainment EVER.

Mar 18, 2022 dark is absolutely amazing, as well as mr. robot. both have very political takes on the world around us, as well as forcing us to think about morals and ethics. the science of mr. robot specifically- it made us think about what one man, or entity will do to achieve what they may think that they need. breaking bad does a phenomenal job of making us think about this as well. it shows us walter white, mundane, wildly insecure, hungry for power in his own life. he, after he becomes heisenberg, is THE example of what a person would do to achieve what they want. trying really hard not to spoil the show or the transition arc that he makes, but f--- it- in the show, the moment (in my opinion) the walter transformed into heisenberg is a less looked upon moment for this particular transition. when he kills krazy-8 in the first season, he saw, finally, that he was capable. capable of doing horrendous acts, such as killing a man.

Mar 18, 2022 Top 2 are interchangeable and in a league of their own imo. The Wire Sopranos Breaking Bad Better Call Saul Succession Dark Game of Thrones (S1-6) Oz Lost Peep Show Honourable mentions: Westworld (S1), Simpsons (S1-10), South Park (S1-11), Fargo (S1), House of Cards (S1-4), Dopesick, Rick and Morty, Death Note, Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Friends, People Just Do Nothing. Then there's the entertaining shows that are still good but not elite like Prison Break, Sons of Anarchy, Banshee, The Punisher etc.
