Oct 1, 2022 Tony Yayo supports Eminem You n----s are supposed to be respectful of those who turned the light on them, wrong or right. Who did Em put on? G-Unit, D12, Slaughterhouse, Joe Budden is in them, and Griselda. Come on, n----s be acting like none of that matter. n----s be mad at the white boy because he’s a black hockey player. “YO, HiS mUsiC dOn’T pLAy iN tHe CluBs”. Come on, he’s having them bars. I’ve been f---ing with Eminem since “Renegade”. And that n----- put me on. He’s got respect in the hood since “Renegade”. But at the end of the day, why did n----s hate Eminem? Because he’s white. When we got down with Eminem, we got called house n----s, this and that. But at the end of the day, ain’t nobody in my hood, my family wore a “Free Yayo” shirt at the Grammys and looked out for me. Yes, Tony talks to The Game here and urges him to apologise to 50 Cent and Eminem. But he also addresses a much broader problem that follows Eminem from his day one on the scene.
Oct 1, 2022 People saying this was always so stupid to me. It’s clear that Eminem isn’t trying to make club music (aside from a few tracks). Why judge somebody on something they’re not trying to do? That’s like going up to a basketball player and saying, “WELL YOU DON’T PLAY FOOTBALL!!!” It’s a stupid argument that only people with limited world views make. The club matters very little in the grand scheme of life. Music is a beautiful thing made to be played in tons of different situations and places and morons obsess over whether or not it’s played in a stupid a--- club.
Oct 2, 2022 Where are Game's haters? Did Yayo just try to have a reunion happen with Game and Buck? That's what he just said. It's too late though, 50 retired, Buck sucks, Game trying to hold on, and Yayo, I love his album but that was it. A G-Unit Super Bowl would be dope though since we talking about Super Bowl performances lately.
Oct 2, 2022 I miss when Yayo was rightfully laughed at and disregarded as the talentless latchkey member of g-unit rather than the way he is weirdly viewed right now through rose-colored nostalgia-glasses
Oct 2, 2022 We saw it could get 10 times worse when 50 made Kidd s--- join G-Unit. Thoughts Of A Predicate Felon is a good album tbh , not as good as the other G-Unit debuts obviously, but still good.
Oct 2, 2022 Eminem is one of the highest selling artists ever, across all genres, but you apparently don't make it big time until you make a club hit. For the record, I've heard Eminem played in clubs many times before. And I've also never felt the urge to listen to or download a song just because I heard it in a club one time.
Oct 2, 2022 Yayo was the best hype man ever. His debut album wasn’t terrible. I think he got hated on like he did because it was the cool thing to do . I’m not saying he’s a great rapper or anything. But how bad he was , was definitely exaggerated
Oct 2, 2022 Nobody is even talking about Eminem not being taken seriously in the genre because he isn’t played in clubs, that isn’t a thing
Oct 2, 2022 He ain’t wrong. There is a whole section of the internet that have some pretty dumb takes, and use excuses to discredit Em’s impact. It’s actually kinda embarrassing because of how obvious the envy is. Em literally sign 50 himself. Do people realize that is one of the biggest moments in hip-hop this century? Even tho he didn’t make Slaughterhouse, people really be forgetting the power of name association in the industry. It opens up revenue avenues and opportunities that the group would never had gotten without shady. Also d12 was massive in the early Aughts, and were selling Records and Merch that total over Millions. Eminem’s relevancy carried a lot of name power for the entire 2000’s and 2010’s.
Oct 2, 2022 Yeah . 50 cent signing to shady was HUGE. Makes you wonder why Eminem didn’t really expand shady records into something way bigger than it even was . Signs 50 and he drops the biggest debut rap album of all time. Everyone at the time would of died to be on shady . Then again people were scared at that point.
Oct 3, 2022 Or his "funny" lyrics, that also hurts the way people see him. It's cool for a song or two, but sometimes he doesn't give a f--- and overdoes it.
Oct 4, 2022 i would die of embarrassment if an eminem song played in my car by accident for 2 seconds
