Mar 3, 2015 MAIN CARD Pay-per-view, 10 p.m. ET Anthony Pettis vs. Rafael dos Anjos -for lightweight title Carla Esparza vs. Joanna Jedrzejczyk -for strawweight title Matt Brown vs. Johny Hendricks Roy Nelson vs. Alistair Overeem Chris Cariaso vs. Henry Cejudo PRELIMINARY CARD-FX, 8 p.m. ET Ross Pearson vs. Sam Stout Roger Narvaez vs. Elias Theodorou Daron Cruickshank vs. Beneil Dariush Josh Copeland vs. Jared Rosholt PRELIMINARY CARD-UFC Fight Pass, 6:30 p.m. ET Ryan Benoit vs. Sergio Pettis Joseph Duffey vs. Jake Lindsey Germaine de Randamie vs. Larissa Pacheco Really looking forward to this card. Pettis/RDA should be a good one, think Pettis catches him some time in the first couple rounds. The SW fight isnt really my most anticipated fight but the Polish girl has an entertaining stand up style, kinda hoping she wins although i think Carlas takes it, but get that chick a nickname. Hendricks/Brown i could see going a few different ways, both of which i see Hendricks winning. I could see Johnny wrestling him or hurting him with big shots on the feet. Word is that Johnny is walking around about 20 LBS less then he normally does, so that should factor in with his cardio. Winner should get a title shot but since Lawler/Rory isnt until July i could see either fighting Woodley or Laflare/Maia next. Big Country/Reem is another fight i could see going a couple different ways. One with Roy landing a big shot to Reem's depleted chin and another way with Reem looking for the TD's and mixing it up. He seems to have realized after the Rothwell fight that he cant go out there and sling em any more, i see him getting the decision but wouldnt be shocked at all if he got KO'd either. Cejudo is dropping back down to FLW(which he has failed to make multiple times), he seems to be doing it differently this time as he is 135 as of Saturday. Seems like they are grooming him for a title shot as Cariaso is coming of a loss to Mighty Mouse and he is probably the easiest match up for Cejudo inside the top 10. If he wins i think him vs Formiga in Mexico is a lock, that being said i think Dodson will still be next for Mighty Mouse after he beats Horiguchi and Dodson beats Makovsky. Prelims are actually real good, Pearson/Stout should be good although i think Stout is done and Ross should finish him. Theodorou is one of the best up and comers in Canada, his style is fairly boring for the most part though. He should win w/o a problem. Cruickshank/Dariush should be good, Dariush has an excelent ground game and Crook has been susceptible to submissions but Dariush was also blasted by Ramsey Nijem so who knows, fight is a toss up imo. The HW fight should be entertaining with Rosholt winning, hopefully he doesnt resort back to his wrestling LNP style but after gettting KTFO he probably will/should. Also looking forward to lil Pettis back at FLW as he was far too small at BW and the debut of Joseph Duffy who was the last man to beat Conor McGregor.
Mar 3, 2015 great card, dos anjos been on a good run but I dont see him posing much threat to pettis looking forward to the brown - hendricks fights aswell and hopefuly irishman jopseph duffy has a good debut
Mar 3, 2015 Duffy should have no problem beating Lindsey, that guy has gotten finished in bizarre ways in both of his UFC fights. BTW you're Irish right? need to know what song they play after he lands the flying knee, its a catchy little jig.
Mar 3, 2015 i've only started watching Duffy in his 2 cage warriors fights since he came back from boxing, think hes been training a tri star gym now? never heard that song before id only know a few of the more popular irish songs
Mar 13, 2015 Looks like Pettis has put on a little more muscle. He weighed in at 169 a few days ago and i remember him saying he walked around at 160 back when fighting Aldo at FW was on the table. I think its pretty cool that they show the fighters weights as they go into the fight.
Mar 13, 2015 Cruickshank was the only one to miss weight, seems like somebody does every event nowadays. Anyways this chick needs a nickname bad
Mar 14, 2015 For me its showing 0 of 12... hopefully it updates. Went with more of who I was rooting for than who I actually think will win in a couple of these.
Mar 14, 2015 Im interested to see what this does for PPV numbers, Pettis should be a star if fighting style was all that matters. Not much of a personality though.
