Jun 11, 2015 Ive got McGregor, not sure how. Could be early stoppage or could be late. Zero confidence in that call though just a gut feeling. Odds makers will tell you they love Aldo here though since its almost a pick em. Thats what i love about this fight its a guy who you cant see getting beat against a guy who i cant see being humbled. Somethings gotta give. Everyone who has seen my posts since the RB days know i was on the Aldo WEC hype train early and have always been a fan but since coming to the UFC hes cruised in a lot of fights against guys he should have finished. Conor winning this fight would be enormous for the UFC, he would become the biggest PPV draw they have right away imo. Definitely gonna be interesting to see what kinda numbers this does.
Jun 11, 2015 wish i was as confident very interesting match up, how will conor defend aldo's leg kicks will aldo's leg kicks be successful against a southpaw? who's gonna control the pace? cant see either backing off the ufc would love conor as champ, an immediate rematch be absolutely huge or if not than frankie and the wrestling question next
Jun 11, 2015 I remember when ppl used to bash Conor's resume and then Holloway beats the bag out of Swanson and Poirier moves up to LW and destroys 2 very respectable guys. ^Leg kicks are a big question as Conor has been caught with a couple of them, but he didnt need to respect them like he will against Aldo. I do know that Conor will not let this bei another fight where Aldo just cruises to a decision. It might end in an Aldo decision but i think it would look more like the Mendes back and forth fight.
Jun 11, 2015 that Holloway win looks way better now with the run he has been on and to do it with a torn acl even if he beats Aldo people will still be saying he never beat a wrestler, there will always be something the videos i've seen from him training for this fight he has bands around his legs so he doesn't have such a wide stance I wouldn't complain with another Aldo/Mendes type back and forth
Jun 12, 2015 Conor McGregor is my favorite new gen fighter and my favorite currently active fighter, but man i'm not sure he can beat Aldo. He fights extremely loose which a fighter like Aldo can take advantage of those openings. Conor has done a lot of crazy s--- to promote this fight i hope he knows what he's doing!! Conor being champ is far better for the UFC than boring a--- Aldo
Jun 12, 2015 Nah it makes far more sense to headline the Prelims, ppl are buying the PPV because of the main event not because of a Matt Brown squash match. Those prelims will probably do a couple million views and if there are more buys to be drawn out then the Brown fight is gonna get them over any of the other possibilities.
