Definitely ordering this, hope Punk shocks everyone and wins easy. I don't know what to expect, supposedly he's a lot better now than how he looked on the documentary which was over a year ago and when he was injured.

Looking forward to this. Stipe is one of my favorite fighters, Urijah usually entertains, and the Punk fight should be interesting to say the least

So I was watching the UFC countdown stuff for the 3 main fights and also reading some previews and it sounds pretty possible that all 3 fights end quickly.

Hope that doesn't happen so the PPV is worthwhile though, would s--- if the 3 main fights were all over in the 1st round.

Last part of the Punk documentary was awesome last night, they showed a ton on Mickey too. I actually really like Mickey as well and if he was fighting anyone else, I'd probably want him to win. I feel like they both got the right attitude and work ethic going into their fight.

My Dad: Whats the word about this pro wrestler guy thats gonna be fighting in the UFC?
Me: CM Punk? He's the Best in the World... at pro wrestling.
    Dad: Well, whats his background?
    Me: Pro Wrestling.
Dad: I know, but before that?
    Me: Pro Wrestling.
Dad: He must have gone to the olympics or something?!
    Me: No, just pro wrestling.
    Dad: What?! Thats it?
Me: Well, he trained with the Gracies a few times.
Dad: It takes more than just a few times.

Stipe Miocic (-135) vs Alistair Overeem (+115)

I keep going back and forth on this one. Reem is the more well rounded fighter but the accumulation of damage he has taken is why I'll take Stipe. Reem has lost by TKO 12 times between MMA and Kickboxing and also submitted due to punches against Arona in Pride. I think Stipe puts him down in the 1st.

Stipe becomes HW champ by knocking out Werdum in Brazil at UFC 198

Knocking out Arlovski at UFC 195

Overeem wrecks Brock at UFC 141

    Stopping JDS this past December

Fabricio Werdum (-225) vs Travis Browne (+185)

Short notice rematch for Browne after getting worked by Cain. Think Werdum gets the finish this time, by either TKO or submission (after hurting Travis).

Werdum's flying knee against Mark Hunt to win Interim HW Title at UFC 180

Choking out Cain to unify the belts at UFC 188

Mickey Gall (-485) vs CM Punk (+385)

Don't really care about this fight. Hard to say how Punk will look as hes never competed, Mickey looks like a legitimate prospect with a solid ground game from what I've seen though. Taking Gall 2nd round submission

Mickey drops and submits some photographer guy they threw to the wolves in his UFC debut

Jimmie Rivera (-135) vs Urijah Faber (+115)

Big Faber fan, he was the face of the lower weight classes (145 and below) for a long time in the WEC. That being said I think he is past it, 37 years old is old AF for 135 and Rivera is a beast, whose striking has come a long way in his past couple fights. Think it will be competitive but Rivera ends up winning a decision.

Rivera stops Marcus Brimage in his 1st UFC fight

Knocking out Carson Beebe in CFFC to get a shot in the UFC

Faber drops and then submits Raphael Assuncao at WEC 46

Faber hurts Michael McDonald on the feet and then chokes him out.

Faber choking Mizugaki out cold at WEC 52.

Jessica Andrade (-145) vs Joanne Calderwood (+125)

Big Jo Jo fan but i think Andrade is a pitbull and will be too much for her. She was decent at 135 and was a powerhouse there, but at 115 shes probably the strongest girl in the division. Think Andrade overwhelms Calderwood with strikes in the first similar to how she did Penne.

Andrade putting the finishing touches on Penne after hurting her initially

    Choking out Lar

Jo Jo drops Letourneau with a spinning back fist

Front kick to Seo Hee Ham's face

    Bows

Jessica Eye (-150) vs Bethe Correia (+130)

Betch is one of the most overrated chicks in the UFC, she got a title shot by beating 2 of Ronda's friends. Eye usually has trouble with wrestlers but Betch won't be looking for any TD's. I'll take Eye by decision.

Eye basically punching Leslie Smith's ear off her head in Mexico City (warning graphic)

Eye wrecking Zoila Frausto. 125 is the perfect weight class for her, she seems outsized at 135.

Betch hitting the heavy bag (Shayna Baszler)

Nik Lentz (-450) vs Michael McBride (+360)

This was supposed to be Lentz getting fed to Taisumov but like half the Eastern European guys on the roster he was unable to get a Visa to fight in the States. Anyways only thing I know about McBride is hes a BJJ guy, Lentz usually fights fire with fire and grinds those guys out (save Oliveira). Pick = Lentz by decision or late GNP finish

Brad Tavares (-210) vs Caio Magalhaes (+175)

I was high on Magalhaes at one time after winning 4 in a row in 13'-14, but he got waxed by Josh Samman and then ended up spitting blood on him, so f--- that guy. Tavares should take this one by decision.

Tavares beats the brakes off Phil Baroni at UFC 125. Back when they randomly put the Prelims on Ion TV in the states (so random) for that one card.

Magalhaes stops Luke with a body shot 44 seconds into the fight

Stops Trevor Smith in 31 seconds with a bunch of illegal shots to the back of the head

CB Dollaway (-200) vs Francimar Barroso (+170)

Barroso is meh, Dolloway has the edge pretty much everywhere in this fight. I think CB will have learned a lot from his last fight and realize you need to respect everyone at this level. CB's fight with Bisping at UFC 186 was pretty competitive and represents what he is moreso then the Nate fight. Also think the move up 205 helps him. I got CB by decision.

CB KO's Cezar Mutante in Brazil

Peruvian Necktie over Jesse Taylor back in 2008

Yancy Medeiros (-120) vs Sean Spencer (+100)

I think Spencer has this one, crisper striking and Yancy despite having a better ground game he won't be able to get the fight there. X factor is Medeiros us moving up to WW and that could help him exponentially. Still lean towards Spencer y decision

Spencer cracks Alex Garcia (highly recommend that fight)

Medeiros chokes Damon Jackson out cold

KO's Yves Edwards (was ruled a NC because he popped...for weed)

Drew Dober (-170) vs Jason Gonzalez (+150)

Originally was supposed to be Dober vs Erik Koch. Gonzalez has some good striking bud TDD is suspect and that feeds right into Dober's hands. Think Dober grinds out a decision.

    Dober retiring Jamie Varner

So i guess there was some kinda of sketchy incident in an elevator where CB Dollaway got hurt and is out of his fight tonight. Obviously Cerrone was asking for the fight lol.

CB is in this video so i would assume it happened right after it.

    Anyways

@tomroe93 as I think the only other regular in here that's also a wrestling fan, do you want Punk to win tonight and do you think he wins? Gonna be interesting, I really hope he gets the win or at least looks pretty impressive.
