    Which is the better album? Drake's senior effort vs what I consider Kendrick's third album to date.


    It's close, but I'll go with TPAB because it's more ambitious and a better listen imo

    Yeah, this is not close at all lol. Even if TPBA isn't your cup of tea, you have to respect Kendrick's ambitious effort to go and make a project like that. Drake stayed safe and put out a congested/mediocre album with some shinning moments.

    It'd be easier to compare them if Drake interviewed Aaliyah on the last track.

    Shinning moments aside, I think this is closer than you're making it out to be. Views highs are few and far between but TPAB suffers in that way too

    No. It's really not close at all lol. The consistency throughout TPAB blows Views out of the water and it's high points as well. Keep in mind, some of the shining moments on views have glaring flaws as well e.g. "you toying with it like happy meal" on U With Me?

    Don't consider that to be a glaring flaw. That line doesn't really bother me.

    like even if you don't like the breaking voice, the way he raps is crazy, any rapper/ hip hop fan would agree

    i only know people criticising TPAB because its "boring"

    arguably Views is if not more "boring" at times

    TPAB for me. As someone who has listened to Drake since he came out with "Replacement Girl" I wasn't that impressed with Views. It is a great album don't get me wrong but I guess as a Drake fan I wanted more from him. I find myself skipping like 9 tracks from Views, whereas I can listen to any TPAB song whenever. I'm more of a Kendrick fan now, but I listened to Drake long before I was bumpin Kendrick.
