Feb 20, 2018 A n----- on RG named jonredwood said every forum would think this is a classic so what do you think about TPAB, it's NyQuil
Feb 20, 2018 Its a contemporary classic, Kendricks best album, and its trash to people who started listening to hip hop in 2012
Feb 20, 2018 I think you gotta give any album time before its a classic(imo, no album is an instant classic you gotta wait till 10 years, just my opinion though ) In terms of personal listens its easily one of the best albums I have listened to from top to bottom. I easily understand why some people think the album is overrated because of the instant critical acclaim its got but not everybody likes the same thing. The hit songs were really good and propelled Kendrick into a bigger direction(my younger brother and sister never heard of him before but they instantly liked Alright and King Kunta as a song) My favourite song on TPAB is : Institutionalized , one of Snoop's best features Least favourite song: N/A Overall Rating: roughly(because its not taking into account track by track) - 95/100
Feb 20, 2018 I disagree with this though I only started listening to rap in 2016 and I don't consider the album trash at all. Maybe in terms of general consensus rap fans since 2012 won't like the album.
Feb 20, 2018 Yea generally speaking those listeners only believe songs that have 808s and heavy bass are good music
Feb 20, 2018 Least favourite Kendrick album. Couple great moments where everything comes together (Alright, Institutionalized, Blacker The Berry), but a lot of the album plays like watered down Outkast tributes. Very important album considering the climate it was released in, but can’t cosign the argument that important = great
