    i don't get the appeal. more specifically, i don't get why his fans are his fans--he seems to be huge with the kind of kids who reject the jadakisses of the world for being stodgy mixtape rappers. but how does a browbeating notebook whor- without an original idea in his head garner a cult following with millennials?

    (that was rhetorical, i've seen logic's soundscan numbers.)

    Kendrick already had a massive following from Section 80, and Aftermath barely had any marketing work to do because his fan base was already there.
    Same with Eminem.

    As far as pushing a new artist, nah they won't do it.

    Because of his gimmicky mixtapes. Kanye, Jay, Biggie, Eminem, etc. Easy way to hook somebody into listen to him. How many millennials are even listening to a new Jadakiss mixtape? Getting them to do that is half of the battle and Connor has it figured out when it comes to free mixtapes.
