Jan 26, 2021 I thought MTBMB was better than kami after my first listen.. so i went back and listened to Kamikaze and it has no weak songs besides first part of Kamikaze (after the beat change it’s dope) and that Nice guy song kami is just a more focused album with less filler than MTBMB i do hate the sack religious line about tyler it’s horrible besides that it’s there’s not a lot of corny lines. might be the last time em had things to talk about and part of the reason MTBMB both sides are weak, he raps a bunch of nothing kinda like right for me and it brings the project down will he ever put something on the level of kami?
Jan 26, 2021 I think he already did with Side B. By the way, I hate Normal, Nice Guy and Good Guy. Venom isn't great, but it's my guilty pleasure. Everytime I watch the movie, I let the credits roll so I can hear it again.
Jan 26, 2021 Kam can have some better songs (not many) than Side B but Side B is definitely a better album, that's how it is.
Jan 26, 2021 I haven’t seen it since it came out in theater but I’ll rewatch it some day for that scene where he calls him a “p----” alone
Jan 26, 2021 I appreciated Kamikaze, Em finally lashing back at the critics & the general consensus hip hop had of him at the time, but since then he's beaten a dead horse.
Jan 26, 2021 I like Kamikaze but I can easily see Eminem surpass it if he really taps into his potential.
Jan 27, 2021 It's not that bad, it just should have been rated R. They also picked the right actor imo. You want to see something bad? Then watch WW84.
Jan 27, 2021 the last 2 albums (kami, mtbmb) have flopped. they are not durable and are very quickly forgotten.
Jan 27, 2021 I didn't like Kamikaze because it seemed too bitter. Hearing em dismiss artists as "mumble rappers" got old after the ringer. Don't even get me started on the "you hate revival because it's woke" s---.
Jan 27, 2021 Revival has been more successful and has more sales than Kamikaze if we look to Canada, which is a country with a lot of white Eminem fans. Kamikaze's success was not because of the music, not because of the quality of the songs, but only because of the hype that was around the beef and everyone wanted to hear what he said there. This is not a classic indicator.
Jan 27, 2021 I think we all wanted to see Em's response to the critics from Revival, not just from vlogs and all that, from his own fans also. He also promoted it a lot, unlike Kami.
Jan 27, 2021 I was surprised why on Kamikaze he answered young rappers and not critics. Why did he choose the wrong target for the answer. Eminem released such different albums, but none of his albums were a response to the past album. I don't see Kamikaze's place in the discography of Eminem's solo albums, it's not a worthy album. For me, Gucci g--- and Kamikaze are on the same level - these are things that were popular only at the time of release, they are not classics for next years. This is not a classic, it's just a hype at the time of release. And then he released Side B as an answer to Side A. If Eminem doesn't like something, he could just release one song or give an interview, but why does he make an entire album as an answer? This is the writer's block, he has nothing more to tell us after Revival.
Jan 27, 2021 I don’t know man... I went back to Kamikaze last week and mannnn.... he had the spark for sure, you could just hear it.
