Jan 28, 2015 I thought Young Thug was destined to be on Carter V. I can why Birdman has stopped Wayne from releasing the album. He obviously wants Wayne to have a hit first which makes sense. Not his fault alot of Wayne's singles have been terrible.
Jan 28, 2015 I honestly felt this whole beef was staged some what to force C5 in to the conversation. Leading up to the December 9th release, I didn't give 2 s----s about that album. Now, it might be one of the most intriguing albums of the year for me. Anyways I say all that to say that for the first time (after reading that article of course), I'm actually starting to believe that the beef is really genuine. Great piece @Narsh
Jan 28, 2015 What shots exactly? I remember specific ones at Birdman/Cash Money more than anything. Birdman's got such a typical creepy uncle vibe goin on for him Thug's label situation is absolutely crazy. D'usse, Krazy, Off Day - all popular enough singles Take Kare with young thug was pretty huge (and is an incredible song) etc...Wayne killed almost EVERYTHING he did in 2014 - he did enough work for this album.
Jan 28, 2015 The biggest one I remember was "Soon as these n----s hear your new s---/they gon have to give they style back" but I remember there were a couple other small ones.
Jan 28, 2015 Yeah I definitely caught that - I took that as Wayne trying on Thugger and everyone elses style himself to prove that he can do it better. He can't really be saying "they gone have to give they style back" when you're the one kind of biting them currently - unless you actually do it better than they do. Aside from that, and from using a lot Thuggers styles throughout the tape, I actually didn't catch any specific shots at Young Thug on SFTW2. Jan 28, 2015 It's crazy how s--- went down fast over there, I remember Lil Wayne almost signed with Jay a long time ago but he declined because of his allegiance to Baby (at the time). Shame really, Cash Money's rise since the Hot Boyz days is incredible and the stretch with Weezy from 03-08 was sick. Thugger said he wants to continue Tha Carter series if Lil Wayne stops lol.
