Jun 19, 2017 Eminem switched his style and sound up from album to album. Since each is so different its difficult to tell which songs are older or newer, and nothing really sounds like a leftover from a previous album, but you can still hear the transition So which songs would fit or sounds most like it was recorded around the album before It? SSLP - "Rock Bottom" most like an infinite track - From its serious content, to the non-stop multisyllable rhyming "Role Model" - most like a MMLP track, got the dark beat, prod by Dre, and em uses that angry double layered vocal that he used a lot on MMLP on the hook MMLP - "Under The Influence" sounds most like SSLP, no mention of anything about game or recent events, the rhymes cartoonist "The Way I Am" most like The Eminem Show. More focused on delivery to the sound of the beat and personal life content. TES - "Sing For The Moment" amped angry high pitch and very multilayered like MMLP, the dark guitars. Most like MMLP "My Dads Gone Crazy" - boppy repetitive Dre beat, weird drum pattern, lazier sounding Em flow, silly content (outside most of 3rd verse). Most like Encore. Encore - "Never Enough" rapid fire, multisyllable through most the verse about personal content most like Eminem Show "Big Weenie" - Dark bouncy Dre beat, Eminem using a high pitched weird voice, a little like "Must be The Ganja" most like Relapse Relapse - "Beautiful" lazy sounding flow, personal song but rhyming isn't great, self produced w a sample like a few Encore tracks. Most like Encore. "Underground" a lot of punchlines, no accent just a more aggressive voice Recovery - "White Trash Party" most like Relapse, upbeat without the pop radio beat, drug talk, hear an accent slip a few times to make syllable rhymes work "Won't Back Down" most like MMLP2, s--- mixing, punchlines, rock influence MMLP2 - "Survival" is most like Recovery, singer on the hook like 25 to life, love the way u lie, almost famous, won't back down. A lot of punchlines and yelling delivery "So Far" is most like his new music, a lot of rhyming for the sake of rhyming
Jun 19, 2017 I wonder if W.T.P was a Relapse 2 leftover as well. I agree with OP, it really reminds me of it.
Jun 19, 2017 I agree edpecially since Dre produced most of the relapse songs and one recovery song. So bad is fed a relapse 2 leftover, i still don't think it fit the style as much
Jun 19, 2017 And while not officially released, I imagine Cocaine was meant as the lead off track for R2.
Jun 19, 2017 Off topic a little bit I think Fine Line 2nd verse was he most Em sounded like old Em since h--- the Sequel intro
Jun 20, 2017 rather be an Encyclopedia Birtannica, h--- with PlayStation, I'm still on my first man on some Zelda Nintendo, b----! Run, jump, punch, stab, and I melt the Mozzarella on my spaghetti Put in on bread, make a sandwich with Welch's, and belch They say this spray butter is bad for my health, but I think this poor white trash from the trailer Jed Clampett, Fred Sanford, and welfare Mentality helps to keep me grounded That's why I never take full advantage of wealth, I Managed to dwell within these parameters Still crammin' the shelves full of Hamburger Helper He drags on about stuff that isn't even that interesting just to rhyme
Jun 21, 2017 SSLP -> MMLP: Rock Bottom MMLP -> SSLP: Under the Influence MMLP -> TES: Stan TES -> MMLP: Cleaning Out My Closet (Dark, controversial content, minimalist beat, rap about family issues.) TES -> Encore: Drips (Silly content, singing hook) Encore -> TES: We As Americans (TES style beat, political content) Encore -> Relapse: Rain Man (Accent, imaginary persona) Relapse -> Encore: My Mom (Singing, rap about drugs) Relapse -> Recovery: Underground (Deeper voice, grandiose beat) Recovery -> Relapse: So Bad Recovery -> MMLP2: Session One MMLP2 -> Recovery: Survival (It basically sounds like a Recovery leftover)
Jun 21, 2017 d--- dude, you are spot on with most of those. Stan to TES is a great one Rain man to Relapse also My mom to encore also even tho My mom is sooo much more skillfully done than anything on encore
Jun 21, 2017 also i wholeheartedly 100% agree with what you said about "So Far" (although that song's a huge guilty pleasure of mine, only due to the bridge/hook) cheah!!!!!!!
Jun 21, 2017 I wish The Kids would've made the actual MMLP album though. One of my favorite Eminem songs.
Jun 21, 2017 What up fitzy ditsy like Britney from disney!? I can agree w that, minus the piano in the beat its a very SSLP style beat, and no mention of the fame from his last album
