I worked at McDonald's for four months during this school year, and it was a living h---

I eventually quit without anything lined up to focus on my grades

Now that I look back on it, it was the right choice. The only people who worked there were teenagers who were just starting out like me, or people who started working there in high school and got stuck

It certainly gave me a reality check and inspired me to do better, so there's that :idk:

I used to work at Knotts Soak City back when I was 17 and way too horny. All I did was look forward to seeing tops flying off left and right and just attractive girls in general...All I got was a tan a small pay check and seen girls I really didn't wanna see and the only t-ts I seen were f---ing man ti--ies :riwtf:
I stayed for a little less than half the season and then walked away broken hearted

Better to line something up before you quit, the job hunting process can be long and frustrating. For example you may fill out an application, then you wait a week or 2 to hear a response then they schedule an interview a week out, then you have the interview and often need to wait another week to find out if you got the job, then if you get the job it takes a week or 2 for orientation, the paper work and to actually start, etc...So each job can take a few weeks or more for the whole process and if you don't do well in a couple interviews, then you could be waiting a while. Better not to risk it unless you're okay with not working for a bit.

I have worked 19 different jobs (I've kept track) and I've left 2 times without another job lined up. Once I was unemployed for 4 days, once I was unemployed for 2.5 months. I also was let go from a temp-to-perm job after I told them I'm taking a 2 week vacation to Europe and they didn't like that. Luckily I got a job interview call when I was in Europe and started soon after I got back.

If you are paying bills and need money, then don't quit until you have something else lined up. I know people who had been unemployed for like a year. You start to get very discouraged after a few weeks... :snow:

Yeah I used to work at a law firm dealing with social security applicants. It was the best I have ever had, but I was working 2 jobs totaling 60-75 hrs a week. I got burned out and just up and left on my lunch break. It's one of my biggest regrets. Luckily I still have my second job, which I still have for a couple more weeks, then it's back to school

Other than that a couple telemarketing jobs I did the same thing

I mean, I've left jobs but never flat out "quit".

except this paper route I had when I was 12. In my mind I quit but to them I was fired because when I quit, I didn't call and the papers I had to deliver just started piling up in my driveway.

I quit red lobster yesterday. Hated that f---ing place people would talk down to me, and I'm not one to take s--- from some b---- a--- people. So I would stand up for myself and tell them to f--- off, and the manager would yell at me. Gave them a two week notice, and left on good terms. If you flat out quit without giving them a notice, it's basically the same thing as being fired.

Yeah well my job is s---. 7 days in a row. 2 days off and rotating shift. Tired as f--- every day and I don't do s---. Always bored. Drive 55 miles a day. I'm currently going through the air force process, but I don't have a set date yet.

I look at it like I won't be tired anymore (physically and mentally), I'll have time to finish my book that I expect y'all to buy and just get some time to myself for once. I got like 7k in the bank that at the absolute worst can last me 8 months. And I'll start looking for jobs come September.

    Monday's my last day fam:bigquint:

I had a paper route when I was ten.
At the time I had a huge fear of dogs due to a pit bull trying to attack me when I was around seven.
Anyways one day I was delivering papers when a small a--- dog ran towards me
This literally made me start crying uncontrollably.
I was a little b---- back then lmao

My first job was UPS because I didn't want to work at a fast food place. I quit because I almost whooped a b----'s a---. I almost rammed her head into a metal medical box. I swore if I caught her a--- in the street her a--- was mine.

    Still haven't seen her.
