Oct 23, 2015 For those of you who are living independently, at what age did you decide to leave the nest and fly with your own wings? And for the ones still living with their parents, at what age do you guys expect to leave and what are your plans?
Oct 23, 2015 Been working full time since i was 16, so by the time i reached 20 i was kind of forced to get my s--- together, stop f---ing around and go my own way. Been living on my own for 3 years now. What about you guys?
Oct 23, 2015 I was 20, decided to go on a holiday and just never came home. It was the best decision I made and I wish I had of done it earlier.
Oct 23, 2015 Don't do it if you can stay and life is good at your family home. You'll regret a s-----y appartment. Stack some money.
Oct 23, 2015 My plans for the future aren't clear at all and i have no rush anywhere, time will tell.
Oct 23, 2015 Nothing beats the feeling of being able to jerk off whenever you want without having to worry about when your mom will open your bedroom door unannounced.
Oct 23, 2015 It's going to be cool the first few weeks, but after a few months you'll probably wish you'd still be sleeping in that cosy bed safe in momma's house without all those life responsibilities and those bills to pay. If you have the chance, i'd wait it out a bit to be comfortable and well off with your money. But a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do,
Oct 23, 2015 Soon as I possibly could, on my 18th birthday. Things got really bad between me and my mom my senior year of high school. She caught me smoking weed, found my p--- stash, and confiscated all my rap CDs. I got in a fist fight with her husband that winter and she started drug testing me after that. I failed a piss test a week before my birthday and that was it. She told me I had to get out soon as I turned 18. Was kinda cool having my own apartment when I was still in high school, but I started dealing with bills and responsibilities way sooner than anyone else I knew.
Oct 23, 2015 Do not live on my own until I get married. Once I turned 18 I told my dad I'd like to live on my own, he gave me a death stare & said "what the h--- do you think we are.. American?!" We do live in America, dad :/ lol
Oct 23, 2015 Aware me, when you were on holiday what did you do for a living to get by? Or what do you do now? I remember you saying you travel a bit I think you're in Australia right? I'm in London right now. Just got here a few hours ago and don't even feel the urge to go back, legit feel like handing in my notice at work and just travelling a little. Starting with moving to London and goin everywhere else after.
Oct 23, 2015 Why'd you get into a fist fight Are you and your mom good now Does she regret kicking you out
Oct 23, 2015 Currently I'm home with my parents... My future plans are to save up and get back in school....wherever I go to school is probably where I'll stay for awhile. I'm gonna, give it no more than another year. I really miss having my own place,...I had an apt last year, but moved back home to save money.
Oct 23, 2015 I was really lucky and everything fell in to place for me. #1 I have an Irish passport so I was good to go, no need for a visa or any of that bs. I had wanted to work the Monday, Tuesday and half of Wednesday before I flew out on the weekend, my job told me no so I handed in my resignation. I had planned to be in Europe for a month max but had bought a one way ticket because.. it's life, you dont know what will happen and I wanted to leave my options open. Flew into Dublin, spent time with family there, then my actual holiday began when I flew to Amsterdam. I had gone for the Cannabis Cup, bought the judges tickets and everything, which I would highly recommend NOT doing, such a waste of money. Anyway, I was staying at a hostel and they just happened to have posters up around the place saying that they needed live in staff. I was enjoying myself and the other travelers I had met encouraged me to go for it. Got the job, ended up getting a contract and that was that. I would recommend just doing it. If you know that your parents and friends will be there for you as a safety net if things dont work out what have you got to lose? There are always more jobs and if you dont do it you may miss out on some amazing experiences with awesome people. I have met so many great, free, open people, some of them such characters, I never even thought people like that could exist! The thrill and excitement of being in a new city doesn't wear off quickly either. Where are you from originally, I always though you were from London anyway =S.
Oct 23, 2015 Still at home. Gonna start working on taking steps to get out. I've been on my own before for a few months. I miss it so much.
