So this morning I got into my first car accident. I was driving to school around 7:45 AM and my tire pressure gauge came on. I pulled into my school and found that my tire was rapidly loosing air. I then made the choice to go home instead of go to class because of the tire. I didn't want to come out of class and have a flat tire. it would be pretty annoying to change a tire at school. So on my way home i called my dad and asked him what i should do, he said to bring it to a gas station and put air in the tire. I then proceeded to skip the turn for my house and go to the gas station. So here's what happened:
I was heading east on the 2 lane highway, the gas station was on the other side of the road. I made my way to the turn around to go to the gas station. there was heavy traffic and i needed to go straight (not make a U-turn). So the 2 lanes were jam packed with cars and the 2 people in the lanes kindly let me go through and cross the road. Here is where the accident happened. The girl who hit me was riding on the shoulder to pass the traffic ( I guess to make a right turn somewhere, which is also illegal, you can't ride the shoulder like that) So right as i pulled out in on the shoulder to go on the other road she hit me. Thankfully no one was hurt and our cars seem to be totaled. But right after it happened I got out of the car and her boyfriend was all mad and he came after me and got in my face. I was like,
back up.

Seriously, all i said is that im sorry and s--- happens and he backed off. But at first i was like that s----s your fault.
the cops came and they wrote up the report. I later called my insurance company and told them what happened and they said i was not at fault which is good and is true.


Side note : what was so weird about what happened is that Yesterday was my bday, as some of you may know, and i was talking to my parents and i told them i wanted a new car. I even said I have never been in accident before. So to quote the great modern philosopher Marshall Bruce Mathers III " Careful what you wish for"

Good stuff. my car was an 04 so I don't think its worth the repair even if it can be repaired. so were gonna take the action that their insurance pay for the damages and what not. Since it was not my fault

I'm a great driver of cars, never been in an accident, never had a speeding ticket or lost any demerit points. but out of the 8 years I have had my licence I have only driven for about 4 years.
A bike however, I have hit ... people while riding my bike. Not my fault on either occasion.

Slid on some ice at a stop sign and got hit in the drivers side by a big ole bronco ha, I had a little grand am at the time. Turns out it was my old bus driver that used to let us smoke cigarettes in the back as long as we had the windows down.

I've been in some weird accidents. My first ever was driving home from college. I was in standstill traffic and got rear-ended by a tractor trailer. Just bumped me but because it was so big it f----- up my trunk. s-----y State Trooper in Maryland came and told me I could leave, never took a police report and the other driver tried to blame me so I got screwed over.

2 years ago I was driving to work in a crazy rain storm going up hill. I went to switch lanes and spun out into the guardrail.

The best one. Last year, went to get my oil changed. I stay away from places like Jiffy Lube so I don't have some inexperienced kid f---ing with my car so I went to a dealership. They do it and I leave. I'm about 3 miles down the road at a light. It turns green and I hit the gas and get up to about 40 when my hood flies up like in Tommy boy. It cracked my windshield and dented my roof. Luckily the median was right there and I was able to slow down. Turns out one of the assholes at the dealership left something where the hood latched
