I mean, I'm not really concerned about it either simply because it doesn't happen all that often. Obviously it's awful when it does, but I'm much more concerned with how often guilty men get away with r---/sexual harassment. The way she worded it might be a bit inflammatory but she's "just telling it like it is" just like trump am i right???

Bruh I like you but this is some all lives matter s---. Women falsely accusing men of r--- is a thing that happens, albeit very rarely, and it's a obviously a bad thing, but it's not a pervasive issue in society like women getting r---d and sexually harassed is (see: hollywood, music, life in general).

I'm not saying that men who get falsely accused don't matter and it's not f----- up. It is. But every time someone brings up how women have been treated like s--- for thousands of years and r---d and harassed every day there's always someone who goes 'b-b-b-but what about all the men who are falsely accused." It's this "both sides are in the wrong" bs rhetoric that all lives matter supporters use, that trump used when equating white supremacists and protestors of said white supremacists. Stop making this s--- out like it's 50:50 false accusations to real accusations. It's more like 1:99, if that. Think about how many women don't come forward at all.

Obviously it's a horrifying thought to be falsely accused of r--- or of any crime. But by focusing on reducing the crime in the first place we'll better be able focus on weeding out the false accusations in tandem.

Well, it's a screenshot so we also don't really know the context of the conversation. If she just said that out of the blue it'd be weird, but seems like part of a string of tweets to me. I might be wrong though. False accusations definitely ruin people's lives, but it's just frustrating to me that this argument usually only pops up as a response to any sort of assertion that women getting r---d is a pervasive problem in our society. It always feels like an "all lives matter" kneejerk reaction to me and a way to sidestep the issue at hand:

"The cops just murdered ten black people in the last week. Black lives matter."
"but what about everyone else's lives???"

"ten women came our stating that they were r---d in the last week. We need to stand by women."
"but false accusations ruin men's lives!!!"

Obviously it's a terrible thing that men get falsely accused of r---. It can ruin their lives whether they get prosecuted or not. But focusing on the false accusations instead of focusing on stoping r--- in general (especially because they're so much more pervasive) doesn't make sense to me. Getting to the root of the problem will work to help fix the issue from all angles. And it's also like, do you go out every day in fear that a woman is going to falsely accuse you of r--- or sexual harassment? I sure as h--- don't, and I doubt you do either. But facing sexual harassment or r--- is a realistic fear many women have.

Sorry man I didn't mean to get so pissed, this forum just has such dumb opinions when it comes to r--- sometimes that I'm so used to everyone saying s--- like "women lie about getting r---d for clout."
