    Kanye in his prime is better than Prime Eminem. There's so many reasons why this is true

    I want to hear why people think Eminem is better

    But yeah, I just feel like no one else had brought together such a high level of rhyming, flow, songwriting, production, etc.

    Agreed. Em's been out of his prime for over a decade and Kanye pretty much just got out of his right now.

    Don't hate on lil Wayne, his career is miles ahead of eminems

    Popped off before his nuts dropped, had the greatest mixtape run of all time, and has had a moderately successful and well received comeback after falling off

    Meanwhile Marshall has made "hey guys listen to my motivational melodramatic pop rap ballad about me being a role model for not being a junkie waste of space pt 4"

    The Eminem Show > Late Registration > The Marshall Mathers LP > The College Dropout > Slim Shady LP > Graduation

    Not to mention the numerous freestyles, diss tracks, features & work he did with D12 from 99-03 which often goes forgotten in these discussions because people get so consumed in the studio albums. I think Em was better in his prime but obviously Kanye has been much more consistent & is the better overall artist when you look at their entire careers.

    a lot of people don't seem to realize just how good Eminem was in his prime - or even when his absolute prime actually was (2000-2001). if they did, more people would know just how silly it is to compare him to rappers like Kanye. but then, it didn’t fully hit me until fairly recently either. my advice to op is to keep listening.

    (and no, I'm not a Kanye hater. I actually like a lot of his music.)

    Lyrically eminem is better, no doubt about that. Production wise, Kanye is better, no doubt neither. For the message, it's subjective (Kanye has some really deep s---, but then he has songs like "gold digger", while eminem doesn't have one single stupid song, but his songs are essentially about his own life and struggles)
    Most people will say eminem had a better flow than Kanye but personally I think that aggressive speaking becomes boring.

    I would listen to Kanye everyday, but I don't think you can say Kanye is a better "rapper".

    So if you talk purely about rap eminem> Kanye

    But if you talk about the better artist, the more impactfull and the one we gonna remember in 20 years, Kanye> eminem
