With the forum transitioning, I feel this hasn't been discussed.

How effortless was this clearly inferior version of Lose Yourself?

It's like he recorded a generic version and decided to use the theme/beat for the movie later on.
I'm glad because it feels like Stimulate Part 2. That being said, the difference between post-2004 Eminem is night day.

Does anyone actually like this?

Most of verses and even the original chorus are super generic. His delivery was so perfect in 2002, it didn't matter. "Effortless" is a great word to describe it.

Releasing this demo is the one amazing thing Eminem (Paul) has done in the past 10 years. Thanks Marshall.

He did this kind of s--- in his sleep back then which is why his fan base has been so furious since 2004. That idea is something a lot of the newer Eminem fans can't really grasp.

He did say in he had to completly re-learn how to do everything. Was probably exaggerating though. But his flow last few years has been all over the place.

It's sad but you get used to current Eminem and actually forget the huge difference in quality until you hear something unreleased like this. Like M Solo said he did that s--- in his sleep (literally, he said he doesnt remember recording it).

Shady XV was a bit of a mixed bag for me, wasn't really feeling it much at first but it's grown on me after a few listens. But the Lose Yourself demo was amazing, easily the best track on the album. Mad how he could drop a few verses like that and just forget about them. Bet they have so much other s--- like this in the vault

Id love to hear anything that was thrown away not used in that era. Im sure its 10x better than anything he would put out now. I miss the way he can make you visualize s--- and storytell. Its sad that verses like this sit in a vault and will never see the light of day.

obviously inferior to the 8 Mile version but still brilliant. He's just not the same artist anymore. That old Eminem is dead and gone.

I wonder if this was originally intended for the next solo album, post-TES?

I believe he was writing Eminem Show while on set of 8 Mile.

So that means they all were recorded/written at the same time. That's why this song song sounds very similar to Stimulate.

Wish they released a mastered version of this track along side the version we have and it be 2 bonus tracks (just this acapella on the final instrumental would do). Can anybody make a good acapella from this? Tried and mine sounds awful lol
