    i feel the education system failed us each time someone use "fam"

    mate is just weird to me, the only place i use it is on here tbh.

    ya i cant picture myself saying mate in real life.. In canada i have never heard anyone say mate in real life. sometimes I use n----- actually, but not a lot

    Have never heard anyone use mate, other than here, SL, Dumb & Dumber, and Crocodile Dundee (And probably the Rone vs 360 battle, but I don't remember). Like I said in another thread, over here your "mate" is the person you're f---ing. Otherwise it's viewed as an Australian term.
