Nov 19, 2015 Really torn on this one, but I'm leaning towards Canelo. Wouldn't be surprised either way though.
Nov 19, 2015 Cotto has lost my respect holding a belt hostage in a division he doesn't even fight in. I hope Canelo breaks him. At least he'll have the balls to step up to Golovkin.
Nov 19, 2015 I'd have to go with GGG if that fight happens. Idk if you saw this but earlier today Roach says he'd like Cotto to KO Canelo and fight Mayweather. Supposedly Cotto has been in his ear saying "if you were in my corner for that fight, I would've killed him." Roach thinks he can use a game plan similar to Pac's. http://www.badlefthook.com/2015/11/...otto-to-ko-canelo-then-get-mayweather-rematch
Nov 19, 2015 Roach also wants Pac to fight Mayweather again so take whatever he says with a grain of salt. Everybody wants that pay day.
Nov 19, 2015 If Cotto loses I wouldn't mind seeing him fight Pac, and the winner of that faces Floyd if he's up for it.
Nov 19, 2015 Cotto is retiring after this fight. He dropped the WBC belt for that reason. Pac is about to get fed to Crawford. Either guy winning could draw Floyd out for some $$$, but I don't think it's likely.
Nov 20, 2015 From what I understand neither one of them wants to fight GGG and regardless of the outcome of this fight there will probably be a rematch.
Nov 20, 2015 think this could be a mismatch. Alvarez will be too big. Golovkin would KO both with ease.
Nov 20, 2015 Canelo took a 25/75 split on this purse to fight Cotto. He took on Mayweather when he was still green. It's pretty clear that he'll fight anybody even to his own detriment. This is a retirement fight for Cotto. A big paycheck farewell. Very doubtful we see him in a ring again after this.
Nov 21, 2015 I'm voting Cotto. Canelo is the 2nd nicest out right now and is the new face of boxing for years to come, but Cotto became my favourite current boxer after Floyd retired. I can't cheer against him, even though this is going to be an extremely hard fight.
Nov 21, 2015 yo this is what canelo looks like right now smh, he's absolutely shredded. my boy cotto is going to have a hard road to this W tonight, but he has looked like a new fighter ever since he started working with roach.
Nov 21, 2015 Cotto has looked great against middle of the road opponents. Whatever happens tonight will decide the narrative there. Either Cotto ends middleweight reign on high note and punctuates Hall of Fame career with his biggest win or Cotto got found out by his first real test at the weight and loses yet again during legacy defining of his career. The stakes are high for him.
Nov 21, 2015 Not to mention the Puerto Rico vs Mexico narrative. I'm so hype for tonight, I wish I could fast forward the day lol.
Nov 21, 2015 It's crazy that this is the second biggest possible fight that can be made in the sport and yet compared to May-Pac, nobody I know really cares that much about it. The Hispanic community is the life blood of boxing. . Also, for anybody wondering about the undercard Rigondeaux-Francisco is worth a watch. Guillermo Rigondeaux is a Cuban southpaw and the best 121 pounder in the world. One h--- of a technician. He dominated Nonito Donaire who is an absolute monster. After spending the past 2 years in Japan where low weight fighters can get fans and make some money, he signed to Roc Nation earlier this monthy. This will be the widest audience he's ever fought for given his resilience in signing with a big promoter. Just watch the way he controls distance. He's probably the best defensive boxer since Mayweather.
Nov 21, 2015 Before I start reading everyone's posts I just wanna say.... Canelo is bae. It's something about that red hair. But I'll be watching the fight. I do enjoy watching boxing whenever I catch it on.
