I wasn't going to reply to this but I will anyway. I would firmly like to thank people like @FiveOh1 for giving me some of the most positive feedback I have ever received anywhere. I have had some small success in music but it is the comments from dedicated musicians from communities that mean the most. Ok, now here comes the harsh part: It is because of replies like this that has ruined music (this is not exclusive to this forum). People expect more than just MUSIC from from musicians; anything that isn't paying for advertisements and or social media/"prosocial" pandering is considered "spam'. I f---ing hate that word, and anyone that uses it (when it comes to sharing of music) can go f--- themselves! I deliberately made the title of my thread vague because I just wanted to share some of my old music (the compilation comprises of songs from 2017 - 2020). I myself haven't made any new music since 2021, and I don't plan on doing so just due to this sort of behaviour; this sort of irreverence to music as a whole (not just me, MUSIC/artists as a whole). It's f---ing disgusting. It's the reason why music (at least what is considered popular enough to be covered by big publications) is so bad right now. I actually got banned from another forum for exposing some industry plants 3 years ago... Yes, this happened. So forgive me if I am less inclined about sharing music (or even participating in them). I just shared this compilation just because I was considering maybe making music again, but this thread (and others in other forums) reminded me of why I decided to quit in the first place. Intelligence has been decreasing at a rapid rate; IQ has been falling down by up to 1.5 points per decade, and I am sure a lot of you (especially those born in the 90s or earlier) have noticed this. Listen to the f---ing music if you want, but if not - just ignore it and move on. This will be the last thread that I'll be sharing my music. I actually only just recently put my music back on streaming (after removing it for over 1.5 years after a similar situation to this one - but that one felt personal as I used to talk to this particular moderator over 10 years ago).

Actually that's not what I am saying at all... If the comment is about the music, you can say whatever you want - which is what I want (authentic/honest feedback that isn't based on prior interactions).

Ricky’s reply was constructive. The market’s oversaturated nowadays due to accessibility (never mind outside of music too), so you have to earn people’s attention. It is frustrating but that’s the material reality no matter how we wish the creative sphere was.

Indeed, it is oversaturated but I'm not trying to "earn" anything - you can listen to the music if you want... Or don't. I could easily pay for advertisement (and did experiment with it back in 2017) - but it wasn't satisfying to me at all... I know music has now turned into a BUSINESS rather than an artistic expression (due to over-saturation). But I feel that this has destroyed the soul of music. Which is why I don't make music anymore. In 10 years time, music (especially mainstream) will get so bad (if it hasn't already reached that point already) that people will stop looking forward to new music.
